MRSM - OMG well done you!! I remember when you first started posting here and your journey has been amazing!! xx ps I love apricots too. I made these last week, but doubled the apricots as I don't like prunes. They are flapjacks that when portioned out equal one HEB. Very yummy :)

I fell slightly out of Dizzy's wagon yesterday, had pub lunch and they were out of jacket spuds so I ate the chips that my meal came with :o. And had a beer in the evening. My meal with a jacket would have been about 10-12syns (warm veggie wrap with cheese) so I definately went over.

    Green day today:

B - scrambled egg on HM WM toast (HEB), LF marg (2syns), LF ketchup (1syn)
L - big salad, couscous, pot salad (1.5syns for LF mayo), pasta with pesto (1.5syns), cheese (HEA)
D - pasta with HM SF tomato veg sauce, cheese (HEA)
Snacks - HM flapjack (HEB), crisps (4syns), banana, plum
    Drinks - water, squash

    Total syns = 10

Fabulous news Mrs M, thats such an amazing achievment!

I think i've taken my celebrating 1/2 stone off a little too much today...

    EE (ish)

B: all bran (HEB), banana and milk (HEA)
S: banana, alpen light (is this 5 if not used at HE?)
L: in pub - fish cakes (3 each x2?) and salad. slice of homemade lemon cake (5?). 2 gin and tonics (10?)
D: tuna pasta salad with FF fromage frais (free)
    S: cherries

So I make that at least 26 syns... thats the most i've had in the 3 weeks i've been following SW. Ooops!

Have no fear though, I havent lost motivation and will be back on plan 100% tomoro :-)

Flutterby, thanks for that link to the flapjacks, I've often toyed with the idea of making my own hifi/oaty/alpens but I'm not very practised at sweet things so never bothered. These sound just the ticket! I may make some for my "open kitchen" day next week too so my kitchen smells real (as I generally cook - from scratch - in the m-wave I don't get many yummy cooking smells) thanks again.

I think I will post my today's menu, cos I eat TONS and my initial weight loss of nearly 3 st worked out at 1 lb a week loss which might help new people

BB (before breakfast) one cup of hot water, 3 cups of coffee. HEA is always milk in my coffees.

B: a grapefruit (SF) and an orange (SF) skinned and chopped, and a muller light mandarin(F). Followed an hour later by half a slice of smoked mackerel (0.5 syns) heated on top of some sliced tomatoes (SF) and mushrooms (SF), thickened slightly with some instant mash (F) and with fresh basil (F) sprinkled on top.

morning snacks: more coffee (finished what was left in the pot) and more hot water

L: chilli made with quorn (F) (tomatoes, garlic, onions, and chopped spinach in the chilli were S-free) with half a jacket potato (F), some "grilled" in the m-wave red pepper (SF) and broccoli (SF), followed by a handful of fresh strawberries (SF).

afternoon snack: chocolate oaty bar (HEB) and more strawberries (SF)

S: stir fry with Blue Dragon noodles, half a ready chopped mix of stir fry vegetables, all SF, with added garlic and ginger, chilli and onion (all SF), cooked in m-wave with soy sauce (F), 1 tsp sesame oil 2 syns, 1 tbsp oyster sauce (0.5 syns).

For the first time in about 3 weeks I've opened a bottle of wine, poured myself a teeny glass way under the 175 ml but will count as 6 syns as I'd rather over-estimate than under.

My muller light is in the freezer to be eaten in about 30 mins and I shall have a couple more big mugs of hot water before bed. I don't drink enough water, even though I have 5 or 6 mugs a day that is only what about 1.5 litres, not counting the 5 or 6 mugs of coffee.

sorry for rambling, bet you're glad I don't always post what I eat :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've started jogging - it's fantastic and sooo addictive - I have eventually 8 stone left to lose so it's hard going but after about 2 months I can now jog for 8 mins without stopping! at the begginning 30 seconds was tough!

Hope you get the bug too - well done!

Thanks, you're right. I'm just one of those impatient people and when I get an idea I run with it :rotfl: I'm just going to do the best I can with what I have until Thursday but certainly going to stop stressing about it! A few days won't make much difference ;)

I'm one of those impatient people too :p and I'm sure what you have will probably be healthier than what you would normally eat?

Not sure if this will help but If all else fails for me my local Heron stocks Pasta and Sauce for about 43p a pack - free on Green.

Good luck with what you have and keep us informed once you join on Thursday! :j

    Hi all,

my fourth weigh in since starting SW EE and I have lost another 1.5 lbs. So that's 8.5lbs so far :D Loving EE so far with all the free foods.

Off out for a carvery tonight so bit worried about that.

    The plan for today:

b: 2 wbx with slice nana, couple of strawbs and blueberries
    s: maybe more fruit
l: jacket (maybe with beans) and salad
s: yoghurt maybe (though it's usually a crumpet and jam)
    d: carvery

Well done on your loss, I'm loving EE too! ;)

Hope all went well at the carvery!

I am a regular exerciser too - I think I have that to thank for me only ever getting 1/1.5 stone overweight to be honest! I have entered the ballot for london marathon next year.. fingers crossed :p

Running, biking, kayaking, military fitness training, triathlon - i love them all so if anyone has any interest in taking them up i would be happy to offer words of advice based on my experiences :o
