Hi everyone -a newbie here but have been reading through all the encouraging posts and hoping you will inspire me! I need to lose another 20lbs and have lost about 18lbs since March.
I've been doing SW on my own for the past few weeks and although i have lost 6lbs in 4 weeks it seem to be following a pattern of 1 good week (2.5/3 off) followed by a STS or 0.5 off the next. Is this normal? Get really cheesed off when I have been following the plan but dont lose very much. sometimes I think perhaps I'm not eating enough is this possible?
I mostly do green days during the week and red days at the weekend as i like to have the extra HE's.
I also go to the gym 3 times a week but have always done this so maybe I need to up the exercise?
You are definitely not alone in this! My body is very reluctant to register any sort of a loss two weeks on the trot. At the group I go to there are some members that seem to consistently lose 2/3lbs every week and frist time around for me at SW I did too (now I lose one week then gain or sts the next) but I think everyone is different and as long as the overall trend is in a down ward direction, you aren't going too far wrong. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -

i think our natural instink is to think we should eat less. i am astounded by how much you can eat and still trying to convince myself. tou've done really well, keep going and you'll get thereMake the most of each day, live life with no regrets:j

Hi folks :hello:Yesterday ended up as 24 syns  BUT 6 of those were caused by me getting my HE's mixed up:doh:and I did consume half a bottle of wine
Sooooo, if I finish the wine off tonight I will have had less than 70 syns for the week (not counting the Bank Holiday) which I don't think is too bad
Today:
B: Potato, mushrooms, eggs, ketchup (1)
J: Waldorf pasta salad using cottage cheese for the dressing
S: Apple, oaty bar (HEB)HM chickpea and couscous burger, jersey royals, salad fresh from the allotment:drool: just picked strawberries  1tbsp single cream (need to look that up 2??)
Lots of body magic at the allotment :T
Will have my other HE's for supper after the rest of the wine
Well done losers :T Welcome to the newcomers :hello:
AnnieG - enjoy Singapore even if it is work!
Welshwoofer - nice to hear you and OH are getting on a bit better:D and the WM pittas don't bloat me as much as bread.0 -

Just a quickie, will be back later with the food for the day...
Now that a wholemeal pitta is a HEB does anyone find that they bloat you less than normal wholemeal bread?
I always feel huge with a big buddha belly after eating bread but do fancy the idea of a stuffed pitta.
Any experiences would be appreciated before I scoff!
Thanks xxblackberry-rum wrote: »yup, try the pitta. I believe it's yeast that disagrees with me, I've never liked bread as a child and rarely ate it as an adult but on the rare occasion I eat some I get horribly bloated and pain. Whereas the wm pitta, I could happily eat one a day and no problems I love 'em (keep them in freezer, take one out and give it +/- one min in microwave until it "opens up", cut in half acrossways and stuff each half with salad, yummy
I've been having WM pittas instead of bread following my terrible bloaty belly syndrome on the Green week/*weekI actually feel a heck of a lot better tummy wise (no pains either) on the pittas
Lisa posted something very interesting re shop bought sliced bread & modern baking techniques and 'rapid raising' having something to do with it causing bloaty/tum probs in people nowadays.0 -
i made my first batch of dyno-rod soup today (postponed from yesterday which was a CBA sort of day!;))
You weren't joking when you said it made loads were you? I didn't have a pan big enough - i had to split it between two!
However I now have it boxed up and in the fridge/freezer - so I can't say I've got nothing to eat now can I?
Today has been EE as always:-
Breakfast - porridge (B) with lots of fruit and milk (A)
Snack - pear and apple
Lunch - dynorod soup + activia ff yog
Snack - orange
Tea - chicken cooked in fajita seasoning, new pots, broccoli, carrots, baby corn and green beans. And some strawberries!
Catch you tomorrow peeps - am heading for a bath!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

hi all,
Um, off to a carvery tomorrow and I usually do extra easy - should I change to a red day and attempt one of those (not got my head round them yet).
What do I need to avoid at the carvery - other than lashings of gravy and bread sauce? and exactly how many roasted spuds do you get for 28g????working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
