Hi Rachel, what is a flexi day? Is it when you abandon all hope & start again tomorrow?!
I had my 1st weigh in this week-6lbs gone!0 -
Well done NICKINOO - great start.
DIZZY - Well done on getting in the size 14 - now don't get worrying about later in the year. Enjoy the fact that they fit and get some smaller ones just before the holiday. x0 -

Hi Nickinoo
Not quite. From what I understand you pick the amount of syns you don't want to go above for the day, say 30 syns, then you start again tomorrow

Hi all,
I confess that I haven't read any of this thread yet but wanted to post. First day today back on plan.... again. Today has gone really well and I'm feeling super motivated. Mrs Ging is joining me this time and I think that will really help - she even has written a week's menu plan :j.
Today goes like this:
B: fruit salad and yoghurt
L: chicken, couscous, salad, coleslaw (3) and salad dressing (1.5)crab and mango pasta from magazine.
S: Alpen bars (HEB), shape mousse (5.5) Milk in drinks (HEA)
syn total: 10
Planning this time on combining SW with exercise. I spent an hour at the allotment today digging up the weeds but need to really get fit properly. Considering joining a gym once we've moved house in July as they'll be a Virgin Gym a few mins walk away. Need to check out their timetable for classes etc.

Evening all
Green day for me:
B - oats (HEB), FF yog
L - big salad, HB egg
D - 2 x tortillas (12syns), sour cream (3syns), HM SF veggie chilli, cheese (2 x HEA, HEB), cucumber
Snacks - 2 x plums
Drinks - water, squash
Exercise - 40min walk on beach, 15min game of footie with teenage boys at work, another 20min walk on beach
Total syns = 15
Think I may be naughty and have an ice cream (3.5syns), it will take me over my daily allowance, but I've been under 10 syns all week so should be ok.

Hiya guys
Im feeling peckish/bored and want something to eat and although there are all of these free foods I feel guilty - can you really lose weight and eat unlimited free food?! Its going against all of my instincts.0 -
The SW plan works best if you do eat loads! If your body is hungry then it stores more fat for survival. I know it's odd but EAT LOADS and enjoy!
Shape white choc mousse was not worth the syns - tasted just like a milk yoghurt to meI have one more to eat and won't buy them again. Need to use up the fridge/freezer/cupboards as we're moving house in July and don't want a load of food to take with us. Unfortunately not a lot of it is very healthy but I'll have to work it in.
Pleased to read on here the wm pittas are finally a HEB
After my last post I decided to get a move on with the exercise and finally got my wii zumba game out of it's plastic wrapper! 20 min beginner session and I really worked up a sweat! I've been doing actual class for 5 months and clearly haven't advanced much!!!!

Hi,
Just a quickie, will be back later with the food for the day...
Now that a wholemeal pitta is a HEB does anyone find that they bloat you less than normal wholemeal bread?
I always feel huge with a big buddha belly after eating bread but do fancy the idea of a stuffed pitta.
Any experiences would be appreciated before I scoff!
Thanks xx0 -
Hi everyone -a newbie here but have been reading through all the encouraging posts and hoping you will inspire me! I need to lose another 20lbs and have lost about 18lbs since March.
I've been doing SW on my own for the past few weeks and although i have lost 6lbs in 4 weeks it seem to be following a pattern of 1 good week (2.5/3 off) followed by a STS or 0.5 off the next. Is this normal? Get really cheesed off when I have been following the plan but dont lose very much. sometimes I think perhaps I'm not eating enough is this possible?
I mostly do green days during the week and red days at the weekend as i like to have the extra HE's.
I also go to the gym 3 times a week but have always done this so maybe I need to up the exercise?0 -
welcome gymbo -Firstly well done on your loss so far.
I follow a simmilar pattern to you. Have a good week, not so good week , sts and the odd gain and i stick to plan every week. Sometimes its best to mix up your foods a bit. I tend to stick to green days but will throw in the odd EE or red day as i tend to get stuck in a rut eating the same stuff all the time. And yes make sure your eating plenty, filling yourself up on free foods will make you far less likely to reach for choc, crisps of whatever your vice is. I usually some of my better losses are when i eat loads.
One more thing have you been measuring yourself? Although you may not be loosing lb's all the time you will be loosing inches
Not sure what day i'm having today, i'm tempted to have a red day for a change, will have a rummage in the kitchen and see what we've got in.£387.39/£196.46
