Welcome jack and gailley!
Gailley, don't worry too much about yesterday. Now you have your nice SW friendly shop you'll find it easier. 2 stone in 2 months is very ambitious though... Remember this is a healthy eating plan for life, not a quick fix. It all depends how much you have to lose overall of course too.0 -
:hello:Morning ladies! Welcome JackD - you're in the right place:D
Katycocoa - I've got some BNS recipes (all veggie) so I'll sort some out later.
Finished yesterday on 8 syns so I'm firmly on the tank and no lines for me Dizzy
My back is very sore today
had to take painkillers this morning so I'm feeling YUK and I have LOADS to do
Work is still :mad::mad: but I have gathered a few allies after I had a little rant yesterday
which helps!
Foodwise today:
B: Leftover sweet potato mash fried, eggs, ketchup (1)
S: banana
L: Tabouleh, feta (HEB) salad
S: Apple, orange if I need it
Don't know yet, I've got asparagus and jersey royals but need summat to go with them
As usual will have my other HE's for supper with (probably) a few syns as well

That's what I meant to say as well. Take it a bit steady and it'll stay off.x0 -
Welcome JackD
Gailey - don't worry it can take a few days to get your head round the plans and realise that you can eat a lot and still lose weight. The important thing with Extra Easy is you MUST have 1/3 of each meal as superfree. For example if you are having cereal for breakfast add fruit to it or ear fruit before/after. With lunch and dinner add enough veg/salad to make up the one third superfree or again eat fruit after. Another tip is to make sure you eat enough through the day so that you don't feel really hungry and end up eating the wrong thing. If you post your meal plans each day and ask if its ok someone will check it for you - good luck you can do it!0 -
Gailey - 2 a sections should be plenty of calcium for youi especially if you're eating yoghurts and green veg as well. Special K red berries isn't a b section so you would have to syn it - 5.5 per 28g.
Try and eat some fruit as well. Your syns aren't too bad as when your BF you normally aim for the higher amount. You need to eat more superfree and free foods so you fill up on them.
l is lunch and d is dinner.

And we don't want you wasting away! What size are you? Is your HMO still 'healthy'?
LO = left over, I have trouble with some 'codes' on here too like your HMO?? Also no need to worry about me wasting away, that'll never happen :rotfl:. Its odd really I'm between a 10 & 12 size which doesn't sound skinny but I look it, weird really. The scales don't say I'm skinny either
. Even though I've been at target for 6/7 months [as well as a year the 1st time around] my head still thinks I'm bigger than I am hence the 'need' to wear clothes that cover my tummy/bum i.e long t-shirts/jumpers etc. I know I don't need to but spent so many years doing it its a hard habit to break
.Hi guys.
2 a and 1b-im breastfeeding so consultant said im allowed 2 of a and 2 of b whilst on easy plan.
so I poured 500ml of semi milk in jug and used throughout day.
only had 1 b I thinkwith 2slices whomeal. What size was the bread? Big size [normal] is 1 HEB but small size i.e weightwatches wholemeal 400g is 3 slices [I think] but other brands are 2 slices.
think may need to up my a options to 3 as need so much calcuim a day when breastfeeding. I would do this and see how the weight loss goes, if it slows maybe drop back to two.
Also everyone keeps putting letters in there post like a new language to me guessing
ee-extra easy
b-fibre healthy choice option.
a-calcuim helathy choice option these are right
what does L and D stand for? Not sure myself, depends what the context was.
/QUOTE]confused57 wrote: »WELCOME GAILEY Hope your shopping has arrived.
With the extra easy plan you must remember to only have one healthy A extra and one healthy B extra. Also it's a good idea to measure out your milk allowance (it varies as to which milk you use) this way you can keep a check on how much you're using cos it's so easy to go over and not realise. She did this
Have a look at the first page of this thread and it's all set out quite simply. Also you can check on synn values and healthy extras if you go on line, you will have had a number to get into the Slimming World website and it's full of information. You can also ring your consultant at any time with any queries. She will probably ring you sometime this week anyway.
Good luck x
Gailey is breast feeding so can have extra HE's on EE as she said in her post. If her consultant says so it must be true :rotfl:. Sorry just pointing it out
.
But yes Gailey have a look at the very 1st page of this thread like Confused said.
HTHS [Hope that helps:D]Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

We had a 'stand in' consultant and she was absolutely great.
Has anyone else found this?
I'm off to bed now. x
I think that rather depends on the stand-in consultant!:rotfl:We had one (area manager) who was a horrible, bossy dragon-woman who made us play stupid games. Another time we had someone who was pleasant because she wasn't our usual consultat, just a change IYSWIM.findingmyownway wrote: »Does anyone have Amy low syn suggestions of what I can buy to sustain me on the 4 hour ride home? Think the options at Cardiff station are Boots or MandS.
Well done for being prepared! I can't really recommend anything at Boots or M&S but if you can pop into Pret a Manger in the St David's Centre they do a good Tuna Nicoise Salad with dressing you can pour (or drizzle;)) on yourself. Failing that just buy some cooked chicken pieces and fruit in M&S.
Welcome newbies. Jack, you sound as if your enthusiasm is just starting to creep back. I can understand you feeling down in the circumstances but achieving something for you (i.e. weightloss ) will definitely make you feel better about yourself. Stick with us and definitely get out in the fresh air!
Gailey, it sounds you have a good idea already of things you need to work on (like SFs). I just thought I check that the toast was from a small (400g) loaf, if it's a normal loaf then just one slice is a HEB.
I lost 2.5lbs at WI today, so that's the 2lbs I put on last week gone and a tiny bit more. Definitely the right direction. Back later with menu when I decide what to do for lunch.0 -
Good afternoon all
well done on the losses everyone :T and hellooooo to the newbies
Annie -nope I don't mind you asking
-Im removing the activias as Im finding them sweeter and sweeter as my tastes change, plus I now follow quite a few of Jillian Michaels ideas -the eating 4 times a day, every 4 hours and not snacking in between etc. I have very few processed things anyway and now Im just trying to get rid of the last few with sugar/sweeteners in and Activias are one of the last to go.
I still have SW as my foundation -so still stick to the 2 A+B, upto 15 syns etc - but Im trying to get as much "whole food" into me as possible -and Im loving it
I hope that makes sense
Well folks I made it to the gymble this morning :j -I laid claim to a bike and did 25km -4mins at level 1 and then 1 min at level 5-6 ..... it made my heart rate move up n down between 120 and 150 -so hopefully it will help -then I finished off on one of those weird reclining bike jobby things -my leg behaved itself too, I cut through my achillies years ago -and it was starting to play up *well now it WILL behave*;)
SO then, another red carb curfew day for me... and it looks like this:-
6am
1/2 red grapefruit
fresh pineapple
10am
28g oats (B)
1tsp wheat germ (0.5)
natural low fat yog
198g stewed apple (B)
3 fresh apricots
2pm
smoked haddock n spinach mornay (A+3)
10 almonds (5)
5 brazils (5)
6pm
Garlic marinated pork steaks
carrots
cabbage
cauliflower
250ml semi (A)
So I make that 2A+Bs and 13.5 syns
I really enjoyed my 2nd brekkie again -and cor it was a bowl full
it makes it worth getting up for the gym just to get 2 brekkies :rotfl:
Right -I will get of and catch up and then make a cuppa.. have a lovely day everyone and keep up the great work!!!

Thanks guys for direction and support want to do it properly guess fisrt few days whilst I get my head around it I may make some unintentional mistakes just dont want to lose nothing at my next weighin.
My weight is 10 stone 5 and my target is 8,8. Im a very snug size 12 at moment.
I say 2months as booked baptism for 7th august and want to look super and fit into size 8 think having an event to aimfor keeps me focused.
I got confused myself with the whole a and b choices as normally correct me if im wrong
easyplan-means 1 a and 1 b
red or green plan allows me to have 2 a and 2bs.
But as im breatsfeeding got the slimmers world breastfeeding leaflet and it says you can enjoy 2additional healthy extras on top of your usual a and b,s. We reccomend that one or 2 of these choices are made from the milk and cheese option.
says up to 2months allowed 3extra choices which confused me as that would give me 5healthy options per day!
then 2-3months or 4-6months if exlusive 4extra giving me 6options?
seems quite a lot so trying to keep to about 2-3 of each but this doesnt specify what plan you on so guessing 3extra on extra easy day give me 4healthy option choices.
baby is 8weeks old and demand fed feel hungry all time.
aiming to breastfeed him exclusive until6months 26weeks.
says calcuim reccomended daily allowance 700mg-1250mg per day.
yesterday Ipoured 2*250ml semi slimmed milk =500mlin total and 600mg in calcuim.
Should Increase milk by another 250ml giving me 900mg cal or maybe add chese or spinach to my diet?
28g cheese will give me 200mg calcuim and 100g spinach 170mg.
Im hoping the extra healthy options wont slow down the weighloss too much
dont want baby to suffer thats why chose slimming world alsosays reccomends the full 15syns a day
consultant got bit confused and said she check head office she then rang back and said im allowed 4 wasent sure ifthat was 4in total as thats way im doing it ot 4additional as that what leaftlet seems to suggest.
So was yesterday bad on extra easy dayto have meal with no superfoods?
cooked the beg thinking they were super free then realised potatoes/peas/swetcorn actually on free list!
does it affect weightloss if you just have free veg and not super?
Well mr waitrose arrived just in time thankgoodness was so hungry!
Anyway im a special k addict and really wonder why in the b section/optimising book it said 28g special k sustain why that wouldent be same for red berries version?
so I weighed 28g special k red berries.
added some semi slimmed milk from my 500ml allowant in healthy option a.
added some fresh rasberries and strawberries on top-superfoods.
is this an ok brunch? or snack?
can the cereal count as my b option at all?
imallowed 2 b options as breasfeeding.
or do Icountit as a syn as in the syns cerealsection says special k all varieties 28g=5syns on any plan.
Already had 2syns thismorning as had coffee with 2sugars.
Also on my foodshop order got half spoon sugar but unsure how to work out its syn value.
its sugar and sweetner combined. Its 8cal so thinking if 1level teaspoon =1syn then maybe half spoon is 0.5syn?
i know ideally I need to cut my sugar down from 2 to 1 in coffee.
did read its healthier to have less actual sugar than to use sweeteners.
Healthy snacks ordered
bananas
apples
peas in a pod
berries
pinnaple
Getting confused with bread.
Think was full 800g kingsmill tasty whomeal.
so 1slice is 1 of my healthy b options?
2slices which I ate yesterday is 2out of my healthy b options.
what about brown bread or granary is that good?
ordered whomeal granary and 1 malted brown.
I guess im eating much healthier as
drank reccomended drink total yesterday
ate 3 out of 5 fruit and veg a day can definatly improve upon this as already ate 3fruits today
Feeling more positive now food in house.
found it hard yesterday as dident have much there.
well done everyone on weightloss.
How does exrecise impact on slimming world?Got my fit extra log.
I usually every day walk about 30minsof brisk walking pushing my 2half stone toddler in buggy and carrying 10lb baby in sling least 5days a week on school runs with my 5year old.
Was thinking do more on wii.
maybe go running once a week.
