Thanks guys, you're all lovely :kisses3:
I'm starving. My lasagne's taking forever to cook.LBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x
2013 Savings £250
2013 OP £35000 -
Its made by Galaxy http://www.thechocolatereview.net/2008/03/15/galaxy-cookie-crumble/
Have recently seen it in £land. I couldnt be trusted with a bar that big tho!I used to get my galaxy cookie crumble from Asda.......mmmmm nomnomnom - Ive not had any for ages come to think of it....I think I'm due a change from the penguin wafers at 8pm choccie curfew time
Thanks both, i've been driving my OH mad trying to find it!! Looks like Cadburys are trying to bring out their own rival to it then and that was the survey i was doing! never though of looking for galaxy - just been looking at the purple wrappers!!today is a RED day -
B - Yogurt & fruit
L - HM mushroom soup, ryvita with cheese. Apple
D - Beef & veg stir fry with some rice.
So thats HEA - cheese & milk for drinks and HEB - ryvita - can rice go as the second HEB (sorry brain on a go slow today) if not will syn it.
Billie-jo could you just change this into a EE day? Rice is really high in syns on a red day and isn't a HEB.. I don't have my book to check but i know i always thought it just wasn't worth having it if i had to syn it.
*off to find book* ohh just looked 28g dry rice = 5 syns.
You've had veg/fruit with every meal - would this be 1/3rd of your daily food do you think? if not just have a bit extra and you'll be set.
Well i've had a sneaky weigh in(couldnt get to class) and i've put on 2lbs!!i'm very lucky it's not more - that's my target to lose next week set then!!
Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
findingmyownway, I don't know what others think but £30 seems an awful lot to spend on fruit in a week and I can see why you'd be getting bored with it. I tend to try to plan around what's fairly good value/on offer.
I tend to go to a market which is brill VFM and if I had more diverse tastes (!) then I would be able to fill up all day long.
at the mo its 2 punnet of strawbs for £1 or 2 rasperries.2 x pineaples, bowl full of mangos, 3 dragon fruits for £1 ( love these but these are 2.00 EACH in asda!- I think the market gets thier unsold stock.along with lots of things Im not mad keen on like plums peaches nectarines oranges apples and the like.
Any markets near you?
If Im not buying from markets then im getting
Sainsb Basics bananas ( fairtrade)
frozen basics berries £1
now starting to see "value" strawbs as they are in season for £1 a go but much less than you get on the market.
Lidls also quite good.....
Also use stuff like frozen sweetcorn, frozen spinach in pasta sauce and tinned toms & passata. Also v happy that smart price mushrooms have gone back to the bigger boxes I think its better VFM adn they last longer.
Onions are v cheap and a pot of french onion soup is pennies:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I genuinely love the stuff, always have, but seem to be getting through TONS lately. So far today I have had a banana, big orange, small apple and a whole punnet of cherries. Not to mention the carrot/radishes/ cherry toms in my salad. Over the last week I reckon I have eaten a good £30 worth.
Does anyone have any other low syn (free!) and lower ££ suggestions to snack on at work?
I may be about to answer my own question here, but I think I've fallen into the habit of not embracing the more calorie laden 'free' SW foods. I don't think im eating much meat, pasta etc even on days where it should be unlimited. Maybe thats where i'm going wrong and then trying to fill up on fruit too much
 £30 in a week! Where do you buy your stuff from? I get all my fresh stuff from Aldi or Lidl. Aldi's super 6 are always great value (items for between 39p and 69p). I have a big salad for lunches at work (5 days), veg with dinner, banana, pear and something like pineapple or raspberries to pick on each day and don't think I spend £30 a month on this!

Juliejim - thanks hun! not sure if they are worth 4 syns but they jumped in my arms in Aldi today so will be hidden in cupboard for future eating.
I remembered to do my WI this morning and have lost 2lbs this week :j.
I was meant to be going out for curry with colleagues tonight but it's been postponed. Kinda glad cos I don't need to worry about syns and faffing now.
Green day for me:
B - oats (HEB), FF yog
L - big salad, HB egg, cheese (HEA)
D - SW chips, fried eggs (in frylight), beans, LF ketchup (2syns) (LF salad cream (3syns)
Snacks - HM flapjack (HEB), cheese (HEA), banana, pear, pineapple, choc (4syns), noodles
Drinks - fruit tea, water, squash, fizzy water
Total syns = 9

I cant remember If you said you were going to be going to group or not without looking back at the posts (memory like a sieve at the mo) but there is a new EE cookbook you can get from there which is good. Also If you do go to class you will have access to SW online & there are hundreds of recipes on there....so I'm sure you won't get bored
as for the older recipe books..... I love my Curry feast one. And saucy secrets (it was only £2.50 new) loads of low syn sauces & dips in it for everything from sauces for fish to chinese sweet n sour.0
