Sorry about my meltdown last night guys
I'm alright, it's just that RL is a bit carp at the mo. Mum has terminal cancer and it just gets to me occaisionally, especially if I've been on the sauce

re the chinese, I think it said chow meins are 5 syns, but the chinese chippy by me do massive portions, do you think that would still be 5 syns, or is 5 syns based on the average plate size of food? Just thinking I could indulge one night and share it, and only count 2.5syns, but that seems so little for something so tasty???0

I guess the size would matter - just gona look in the book - is it true that ribs are free haha:D0 -
Noodles are at least 100g more than the other types.
I dont eat nodles as a rule so I just go with the portion I get given of eg chicken in oyster or chicken & mushrooms etc.
hasnt done me any harm and I certainly havent weighed it.... ?!?!?! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

, especially if I've been on the sauce
You've absolutely no need to apologise rachel. Isn't it a shame that there're so many syns in sauce:mad:
EE day for me. I've been out for lunch but should be OK as I hd enough syns to cover it. Made my day a bit strange:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, baked beans, grapefruit, HEA milk in tea
L: asparagus, gammon, green beans, eggs, mash (definitely a bit of butter and cheese mixed in but not too bad)probably a sandwich (ham & tomato), finish the grapefruit
Syns: anything with lunch not in HEAs, may have a bowl of berries with yogurt
Was positively saintly at lunch and drank fizzy water. DH thinks it's his birthday 'cos I volunteered to drive home!
findingmyownway, I don't know what others think but £30 seems an awful lot to spend on fruit in a week and I can see why you'd be getting bored with it. I tend to try to plan around what's fairly good value/on offer.
Onions and carrots are a staple, I buy a lot of SP mushrooms and tomatoes (although I cook most of mine so don't need the most expensive). I try to have some SS fruit every day so will buy strawberries or melon when reasonable, grapefruit are often 3 for £1 or fall back on frozen berries which have been on offer for ages at Asda. In between it's apples, satsumas and a few bananas. I refuse to pay £1.30 for a tiny, seedy cauliflower so buy whichever cabbage is cheapest or use frozen green beans. Frozen leeks are good too for adding to things. Pickled beetroot (or the vacuum packed) is good value for extra SF and so quick and easy. HTH0 -
