I start SW on Thursday. Well done to everyone on their weight lose. :T

My biggest prob is going to be my addiction to tea, I drink loads with 2 sugars (dread to think what that equates to over a week). Could anyone tell me what are the best sweetners, that don't leave an after taste. Hope you can help xx
I can't offer any "best sweetener" advice but why not pick up a selection of the little packets at coffee shops and see which you prefer? I would guess various coffee shops use different manufacturers? Or syn your sugar and s-l-o-w-l-y try to cut it down - as you begin to eat more healthily you may find your tea unbearably sweet

Terrible weekend! I havent been totally off plan, but just had whats taken my fancy, few custard creams here and dairy milk there, just havent felt like putting my mind to anything really.
Yesterday I had breakfast at 12 of bacon, beans, mushrooms, 2poached eggs. Made a smoothie with strawbs, rasps, blackcurrants, splenda, and a muller light, was delicious!!
Then I had chips at bingo and a dairy milk when I got in......cant even bear the thought of it today!
Today I have had cous cous, cauli broccoli and beans, and going to make another smoothie soon. Got nothing in for tea, so probs just have the same as I had for lunch, or poached egg or something.
Start properly tomorrow when i can get to the shops.

Minx - I can't tell from your post if you realise it or not ... but smoothies are a no-no :( you need to eat all that lovely fruit and yoghurt separately, chew chew chew, otherwise it is SYNS  Anyway, come here and let us haul you back onto the Dizzywagon x

  • Hi i am starting again with Slimming World now they have extra easy as it sounds so simple (too simple!!). Anyway havent had chance to do a proper shop yet so i called in and got some bits and bobs at local shop. I was looking for the natural fat free yoghurt which is free so i could have it for brekkie with berries but i could only see the 0% total greek yoghurt, i bought this but not sure if this is free. Can you experts advise and keep me right please!

ALso what do you think are the staples i need to get in - so far i have frylight, savoury rice, chicken, eggs, gammon (can you use those gammon round things?), salad/veg to fill up my third of a plate and loads of fruit.

Last time i went to SW i had about 3 stone to lose now i have 5!!!!

    Thanks!

Hi bargainbasement, you'll have to excuse me cos i've had a few..oops :o:D

Total 0% yoghurt is free, i've used it to make my sw lasagne for tomorrow night. Gammon is fine as long as you cut any fat off it. Sounds good what you have in so far.

I'm a bit tiddled, so don't expect a loss on thurs, but who knows?????

Back to work in the morning :( bahh..humbug.. :(

Many thanks, perhaps i should have had a good drink before i started got a few bottles of Desperado in the fridge dread to think how many syns they are. Pleased about the greek yog cos i prefer this to natural yog which i think is a bit bitter. Good luck for THurs!
