A Slimmer Summer with Slimming World

Dilemma. Dare I bake some cakes today? Maybe I could muster the willpower to send them to m-i-l and DH's work tomorrow without eating more than one myself today. I already feel as though I've got a couple of extra pounds on me since Thursday's weigh in but my menfolk would love some home-baking and we haven't done much else that's fun this weekend. (I know there's a couscous cake but that's really not going to cut the mustard for my boys so I'm not planning to make that.)
I baked all day yesterday and this morning I was up at half 6 doing some more:D A dozen triple choc and a dozen blueberry muffins all ready to go to the home bake stall and I never had a crumb :A
Mind you, I'm taking the grandkids to the Summer *hysterical laughter looking at the rain* Fair this afternoon so I will probably be forced to eat nonSW goodies at some point!!
Haven't planned any food today but I will have a jacket and beans before I go out in the hope it might fill me up and put me off the caked and ice-cream:rotfl:0 -
Morning all!
Lots of boring housework and cleaning type things to do today - all body magic I suppose?
I'm going to Wales to see my mum after my couple of hours work tomorrow so may not be around much for the next few days - she'll do her best to feed me up as her way of making me feel better about the whole home situation so I'll try my best to be good. I have weighed this morning as I won't be going to WI tomorrow and my scales (whih are usually the same as the group ones) say I've lost 0.5 lbs - must be the stress because certainly it can't be the sweets and wine scoffed lately:o.
I will try to stick to plan today so a green day for me....
Breakfast - banana
Lunch - pasta and sauce (2 syns and half an A choice for milk), strawberries
Tea - pasta and pesto (3 syns) with little bit of grated cheese (0.5 A choice), stewed apple (B choice)
Extras - frozen mullerlight
Will add more later I'm sure!
Right off to hoover car and clean windscreen - start as I mean to go on!0 -
I start SW on Thursday. Well done to everyone on their weight lose. :T
My biggest prob is going to be my addiction to tea, I drink loads with 2 sugars (dread to think what that equates to over a week). Could anyone tell me what are the best sweetners, that don't leave an after taste. Hope you can help xxMake the most of each day, live life with no regrets:j

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I totally agree! I used to be so pleased if I found a pair of 16/18 trousers in the Sale. Now there seem to be loads of them and virtually nothing in a 12! And that's not just Sale racks either. It's as if the 'trendy' shops took an age to work out that women were getting bigger and bigger. Now they have, I don't want them any more.:j
My EE menu for today:
B: HEB porage, HEA milk, banana, NAS squash, tea
L: not sure, probably soup or a jacket and a grapefruitbeef stir fry with rice and masses of superfrees
Snacks and Syns: wine0 -
good morning
oh blackberry rum thanks for the ideas
and would you believe it - one of my cats would not eat the chicken raw or cooked!!
the other one did very well out of it though
food today will include a 'fry up' and probably some kind of chicken fried rice0 -
Good morning all

hello...I've been missing in action a bit this week - all down to not having access to the internet at work and then forgetting to do stuff online at home
With OH still being away and still not having a clear date for him to get back I'm struggling and wanting to comfort eat...so I've opted for sleeping (not a good idea because then you end up watching old 80's movies on telly till 5am and falling asleep on the sofa and then waking up to feed kittens...meh).
I treated myself to a mixed kebab day before yesterday and it was a welcome treat for all my syns. This week I'm hoping to keep the syns at bay a bit and see if I can boost my weightloss a bit more.
-2lb this week so have hit my first half stone
not sure what I'm having today - but I'll start with some sleep. Well done to all of you out there...will resume normal service soon
*hugs*"you say tomato...I say Bite Me" :A

Hello and welcome on board - I only started on here a week and a bit a go so a Newbie myself
As far as sweetners go...the 'healthiest' are those without aspartame, so not many about. Splenda is the only one that has no aspartame in it as it's made from natural sugars.
I used to use canderel mostly but have switched over to Splenda and even the cooking sweetner is rather good (if a bit pricier than most)
Hope that helps (HTH):)"you say tomato...I say Bite Me" :A

Hello :hello: and good luck with your weight loss.
If you can get through two weeks without sugar in your tea you wont miss it at all. I used to have two same as you then changed to Splenda but only had half the amount, it is very sweet, then graually reduced it and now cant stand tea with sugar in, sometimes have about a 1/4 of tsp in coffee but not always and tbh drink very little coffee anyway.
Mrs M - WOW what else can I say. Have been reading on minimins and am a third of the way through so far. You are amazing and such an inspiration. Have copied one or two of your recipies down to try. Up to where I am in the blog you have never faltered or gone off track and that is truly amazing. You are an - :A
