I've been Money Tipped! Chutzpah Haggler
I don't know, it has to be water retention, I had to have a tooth extraction yesterday so could only eat soft foods, so had an omelette and some mushy peas for my tea followed by a shape yogurt, I also had pasta carbonara done with quark for my lunch with a muller light and an apple, had a shape yogurt and banana for my breakfast yesterday and then just had a hifi bar and a mug of choc options before bed, that was all I had yesterday and is a typical day, I'm wondering if its the pasta as I do normally retain a bit of water when I have pasta but even so, even if I have retained 3lbs of water, that still means I have lost nothing this last week

    Morning everyone

I had WI lastnight and maintained, Im feeling really fed up with it as for the past month or so weight has been creeping back on half a lb here and there. Last week I stuck to the plan totally, weighed everything that needed it, counted my syns and then flippin maintained! Told the consultant I as fed up lastnight and he has suggested adding in a few green days to my week, I usually just stick to EE so maybe a change will work, but Im not sure

Hello everyone and hi to those who remember me!

I have been on and off SW and various other plans over the last year (my own healthy eating, and occasionally not so healthy eating!) and I am considering jumping back on the SW bandwagon...

So, I am going through my cupboards tonight to work out what I have that is SW friendly!!

I was wondering if anyone knew whether these products count as a HEB??

    Warburtons seeded batch (small loaf)

    Tesco wholewheat muesli (sugar free)

thanks in advance for the help!

Hello you :D I remember you missy :D
I went away as well, then came back

My own healthy eatnig just doesnt work! :rotfl:

It wont be the pasta. It might be that yo just are not eating enough either volume or SF ?Is the only SF you had there the apple and the banana?

As I am totally obsessed with my brekkie (I didn't normally like a cooked brekkie),today I had tomatoes, grilled on the griddle, look nicer with the criss cross lines and a bit of charcoal, chestnut mushrooms and large breakfast mushrooms, both tasted great but the large ones looked more appetising, poached eggs with some dried tarragon added. No baked beans in so missed those.Fresh coffee.I like to feel I am eating really well. If i dont have time, its 2 quick boiled eggs scoffed at quick speed.Experimenting with herbs at the moment, try fresh ones tommorrow! And different vinegars in the cooking water,eg cider vinegar and balsamic.
In my search to find out how to poach eggs properly,I found this video link

Had bread yesterday,so going to try to cook something with pasta for lunch.

Any ideas,I have quark, fromage frais and cottage cheese in fridge plus the usual suspects? Also some parsley that needs using up today.

Do you think its a bad idea to make my wholemeal bread in the breadmaker,or will it tempt me too much? I tend to freeze my bread .

Spaghetti/pasta carbonara?? if you make a sauce with the eggs and quark/fromage frais its quite nice. We had it last night for tea.. add garlic, onion and seasoning to taste and if you've got any a bit of bacon or ham is lovely.

When i make bread (don't do it often cos i'd eat the whole loaf) I slice it as soon as it's cool enough and stick it straight in the freezer so i'm not tempted - out of sight out of mind really works with me with bread.. it's one of my many trigger foods! as long as you can trust yourself for an hour or so whilst it's cooling then go for it.. just make sure you weigh the slices so you know you're having the corrct syns/HEB's...

I'd make dauphinois potatoes with the quark, if you have time. I use my own adapted recipe rather than the SW one from the magazine which friends told me comes out a bit runny. I gently heat the quark with a chicken stock cube and at least two crushed garlic cloves adding a splash of milk or water if it's not enough. Parboil the potatoes then slice and layer them in your dish. I prefer to add some quark mixture after each layer as it helps it to percolate through. If you've any HEA grated cheese then sprinkle that on top. I think it's OK for syn free and I usually make one and freeze one.

:grouphug: sending you this millimonster. It's bad enough not losing when you've been overdoing it but you must feel really depressed about it all. I tend to agree with lynz about the lack of SFs. Also, some people say that you should only eat bananas sparingly as they're stodgy and not even speedy like most fruits. I think of them as the vegetable equivalent of parsnips and potatoes! What our consultant says to people in your position is to increase the speedy and superspeedy so sort of Success Express (more like two thirds fruit and veg than one third) or simply to try more variety to give your body a change. I also try to have some SS fruit every day so a bowl of berries or a grapefruit etc
