After getting it wrong yesterday and having to change to a GREEN day I will try again for an EE day and hope I got it right this time. Again please let me know if its right or wrong. Have brought the s.w. mag today so will start to read it later tonight. Took mum to a garden centre this morning so walked a bit for exercise.
B - 2 boiled eggs.
L - 2 ryvitas, cottage cheese, with tomato, celery and radishes. Yoghurt & fruit
T - Gammon and s.w. chips with salad.
Snacks - Fruit and or veg sticks.
Syns not sure yet.
So 1 HEB - ryvitas and 1HEA - milk for tea.
Cant say I was thrilled with the cottage cheese - it must be an acquired taste - and I havent acquired it.!!

That looks far more like the EE that I recognise Billie-Jo.
Cottage cheese can be a bit bland. I prefer to eat it stirred into a chopped up apple then I'm not expecting it to be really cheesy so it doesn't disappoint.
If you like Marmite, that's good spread on Ryvita with slices of cucumber and tomato on top. I've taken to eating the WW Brown Danish bread. Then(if I was having your menu) I'd have one slice toasted with my boiled eggs and the other two (also lightly toasted to give it some body) as a salad or ham & salad sandwich with my lunch. HTH0 -

Just back from a nice lunch. Made wise choices so other than a bit of oil/butter in the cooking and a tiny piece of bread it was all SW friendly. That includes the fizzy water I was drinking, DH is a very happy bunny cos I volunteered to drive.
Question I was planning to buy some asparagus tomorrow as English is in season. Anyone recommend a tasty but low/free syn way of cooking it?
Ive never cooked asparagus....but watched a lot of come dine with me
could you blanch it, then wrap quark or extra light phili & ham around it(leaving the ends showing)....give it a light spray of fry light & pop it under the grill?
on come Dine they use that stinky parma ham & some other kind of cheese (or no cheese) but that would be synning.0 -

actually the italian cookbook recipe says something like, cook penne pasta, drain, reserve 4-5 tbsp of cooking liquid.
and peas, soya beans and spinach, fry until until spinach has wilted slightly .add drained pasta, liquid and finely grated lemon zest and juice of lemon. add chopped spring herbs and serve-sorry in a rush so typing quick., (5oz peas,4oz frozen soya beans defrosted and 4 oz fresh spinack) free on ee and green.
also recipe book mentions chargrilled asparagas ,ie blanch for 1-2 mins in boiling salted water, then into iced watervto cool.then chargrill with a bit of frylight for 2-3 mins in batches. i like asparagas just with very low fat hellmans.0 -

I'm finding the syns online really faffy to use since they changed the website  it sometimes doesn't like what you type in and Ive found now that they have the 'chosen by you' line they are sometimes coming up under this heading first which is quite annoying.
If your book is an up to date one then I cant see any reason why it should be wrong? BUT you could make doubly sure by putting it through the syns calculator0 -
Hello everyone
Please can I join you?? I dont go to a group as I simply cant afford it so I'm pinching all the info off here and my friend who goes, and doing it myself. At least I'm going to try :S so please be gentle with me.
I've had a bad day food-wise, demolished nearly a whole galaxy easter egg when I got home from work cuz I felt c*ap, made no difference at all and now I'm just annoyed with myself, and I'm drinking diet cherry coke which I doubt will do me much good either.
Trying to redeem myself at teatime though, got two small jacket potatoes in the oven that I will have with baked beans, is this good??
I have no idea what I'm doing, but I know that it's about time my weight (9st12.5) started to come back down before I look like a whale (I'm only 5ft4 so look ridiculous if I hit 10st) just in time for the summer.
So now I'm off to read the rest of the thread for inspiration

well weigh in number 2 tomorrow and I feel as nervous as I did last week!! I think I have done ok through the week, apart from the odd blip, I think I just doubt my ability to lose weight! Today goes like this.
B summer berries ff greek yoghurt and a coffee (HEA)
L 3 egg omelette with fry light and mixed beans coffee (HEA)
D Quorn spag bol and a muller light
snacks, alpen lite, a melon and I havemt had any syns yet so may have a couple of biscuits with another coffee later. Decaf of course or Il be up all night!
Hope everyones having a good week.0 -
Hip hip! Weighed in and i've officially lost 4lbs in my first week.
I started DH on the plan a couple of days later and he said smugly when I told him about my loss since last Friday "Oh - the same as me so far then!" Oh well, at least it means he's up for cooking compliant meals!0
