Forgot to mention - my new interim target is to have lost 6st 2lbs by my first wedding aniversary

My mum has given me the incentive to get on track by treating me and DH to a trip away if i do it.

That would give me a weight of 13st - which is doable i think as long as i stick to it!

Still not sure what my final target will be as i am not sure what i will look like! (i am big boned! lol)

How does everyone decide on final target weight?

well, good morning fellow sw followers!
    EE today

B chicken salad (dont ask lol) tesco lighter choices coleslaw 30g (1syn)

L fruity pasta (my fave yummy!) pasta, apple, grapes, celery, ff natural yogurt or fromage frais (depending on what needs using 1st!)

D New potatoes, mince and onions, green beans, peas, sweetcorn, sliced peppers wholemeal barm (HE)

Snacks&drinks hilife butterscotch bar my 1st and last - it was horrid :( (3syns) milk for in coffees and teas, probably another punnet of tomatoes - cant get enough of them of lately!

I am having a super good week this week. I am aiming for 2.5lb for WI on monday (this week is only 5 days cause of class change) so i am trying to up my fruit n veg to 2/3rds :)

If i stay on track @2lb a week i will hit my target weight the day before my birthday in July - now thats a really big incentive for me!

Oh how wonderful an incetive is that? How good of your mum too.

I was thinking the same about how will i know when i am at target too.
I have been looking at some old photos, well, not that old but before we had the kids -so about 4-5 years ago and i want to be like i was then. i look bloody fab, although i am sure i was unhappy with my weight at the time- madness eh?!

So, i plan to get to that weight and see how i feel :) seems sensible to me! lol

what a lovely incentive from your mum :) of course its doable....you've done it before when you had your wedding to aim for so I'm sure you will do it this time hun ;)

The target I have in mind is 'loosely' based on the weight I was hovering around when I met my OH just before I went in for my 1st Brain surgery (I still have some items of my favourite & quite expensive clothes that I'd love to wear on holidays again) BUT when I get to that weight I may just decide to go a bit lower.....depends how I feel when I get there I suppose :p

How do you serve the polenta, sounds interesting?

I use Natco cornmeal (HUGE bag for around £1 :money:) Bring 2 measures of water (I use a large mug) to the boil, chuck in some Marigold boullion powder for a bit of flavour then slowly pour in a measure of the cormeal stirring well all the time . Keep stirring for a couple of minutes - turn the heat down when it starts to bubble as it's a bit 'volcanic' :D I cover the pan and leave it for about 10 mins stirring often, when it's thick and starting to leave the sides of the pan I pour it into a greased (frylight) tin (I use a loaf tin) Let it go cold then slice thinly and fry in frylight for a couple of minutes to crisp it up.

I have it most days for breakfast - I'm a carboholic and it means I'm not using my HEB's at brakfast :D
It sounds a lot of faffing but it a loaf tinful lasts me a week (keep covered in the fridge) and the ready-made stuff is high in syns  as I discovered the hard way

It has a tendency to stick like glue to the pan but a 20 min soak in hot soapy water and Voila! it all comes off

I checked on the SW site and with my leader when I was going to classes and it's free on Green days :)

I think the official way is to up you HEs. I 'try'' to have 3 of each during the week [do mostly green] so if you do ee try having 2 of each and see how you go. If you're going to the gym you may still lose so you may need more HEs. HTHS

Thanks for this. With this weekend being my stag night I might stick to the plan and still hit the gym, I'm sure the night of alcohol intake will counterbalance anything else...

Since getting to target, including a 7lb lower target to that originally planned, I have upped my HEAs and HEBs to 2 or 3 HEAs and 3 or 4 HEBs (a total of 6 HEs). I'm still at the bottom end of target so may increase by another HEB to see if that helps. I'd really like to be able to put on a bit to get back to my "proper" target.

I think remaining in target is harder than actually losing the weight in the first place!

Just back from a nice lunch. Made wise choices so other than a bit of oil/butter in the cooking and a tiny piece of bread it was all SW friendly. That includes the fizzy water I was drinking, DH is a very happy bunny cos I volunteered to drive.

Question I was planning to buy some asparagus tomorrow as English is in season. Anyone recommend a tasty but low/free syn way of cooking it?
