Have only scan red the last 4 pages but did read about your op being cancelled dizzy.:mad::mad:

Yesterday was a disaster. We went out for the day but one of our group felt ill so we had to drive him home. Missed lunch so SIL 'kindly' made some pate and crackers then ended up at a carvery in the evening (an independent one) which was pretty carp with lots of cheese on the cauli and broccoli, butter on the carrots and potatoes etc Plus I had lots of wine syns.

WI this morning and I'd put on 2lbs!:eek: It can't all be about yesterday and I'm sure it'll balance out over 2 weeks. I just feel very cross. It's not as if I even enjoyed the meal!!

    Back on EE track today:

B: NAS squash, baked beans, HEB toast and HE milk in teas
L: sandwich (probably Marmite and cucumber, grapefruit
D: liver and onions, mash, cauli, cabbage, maybe peas and gravy
    Snacks: more fruit

"Been suffering with really bad trapped wind recently which is in my back so i think i need to drink some peppermint tea? Any other suggestions?"

Nessie216 - The nurse where I work says - lie on your left hand side and jiggle your stomach!! It works (just not in public). Also ginger tea is good.

    *tries to think calming thoughts*

Trying very hard today - things are NOT going well in the work department :mad::mad: so rather than get myself on a murder charge I had a large kitkat :o and very nice it was too :D

B: fried potato and egg, ketchup (1)
    S: yoghurt, banana
L: couscous, chickpeas and salad, kitkat - are they 11 syns????

D: Last nights leftover aubergine and chestnut gratin with wedges (HEB, HEA)

Might have yoghurt and fruit later.
Finished yesterday on 14 syns

Dizzy - Sorry to hear about your op being cancelled :grouphug:It's horrible when you get all geared up for hospital then they cancel it

Dizzy - how pants! You deserve to have a paddy!

Today would have been a perfect SW day if I hadn't had 25 syns in chocolate:eek: I was going to ignore it but have decided to own up to you and myself and then move on - it was someone's birthday in work and they brought in lots of kitkats, teacakes etc and I managed to scoff tons of them - feel really rubbish for doing it now:( I'm doing exactly what the consultant told me not to do now I'm just 2 lbs from target - must get a grip!!

Otherwise my food has been ok..

Breakfast - Hifi bar (B choice)
Lunch - pasta and passata and stewed apple (0.5 B choice)
Tea - not sure yet but will be something completely free..... maybe quorn sausages, sweet potato wedges and beans

Will put a muller in the freezer for emergency scoffing (although I won't eat it unless desperate - its all calories isn't it, and I've had plenty today!

On the positive side, I dropped into the F&V shop on the way home and picked up a big punnet of strawberries and 2 small punnets of raspberries for £2.30. So no excuse for not having speed foods tomorrow! I may try to have a syn free day or no more than 5 syns tomorrow to make up for the gluttony!

    Hi
Havnt posted on here for a while but have been plodding along doing EE days, looking back though as part of a number of changes I have reduced my meat intake significantly now eating much more quorn products instead so I think I should be doing greendays instead?

Now I get extra easy....one HEA, one HEB, lots of free, 1/3plate superfree

I kindof get greendays, one or 2 HEA (how do you decide if you should have one or two), two HEBs, then all free on green and superfree on green/ee. Also upto 15syns a day? Is that right? do I still have to have 1/3 superfree on this plan or is that just ee?

or- should I just stick to ee- does seem easier but am tempted by the extra a/b choice

Dizzy - sorry to learn your op has been cancelled for a short while. Fingers crossed it goes ahead soon.

WI today and I sts - not really surprised or too upset because on Wed I never got to take any water tablets (I have them every day as a rule) and this naturally has an effect on my weight. I would think that if I had had them then I would have lost as even one day without them and I start to swell up.

Today we have been to visit an elderly relative who is not well and went for something to eat afterwards, however I think I was pretty good and today looks like this -
    RED -
B - Ryvita with cheese. HEA HEB
L - Broccoli soup (2 syns?) BLT on wm bread (HEB), only had half of it, some salad and a few crisps (5?) Syns are guesstimated but wont have any more syns today just in case. Had lime and soda to drink!!!
D - not sure but possibly just some ham and salad with fruit for after.
So have another HEA to have.
Like I say unsure about the syns today but I do know it could have been a LOT worse. :rotfl: had to avert my eyes form all sorts of dishes. :A

Off to sort out meals for another week now. Good luck to everyone.

    Hi Jim

Yes on Red and Green days you have 2heBs and you can choose 1 or 2 heA -its just up to personal choice whether you want 1 or 2 ... I ALWAYS have 2 heA -as I get through a lot of milk and of course on Green days you can use A or Bs for cheese :j
You also get upto 15 syns, and NO you don't HAVE to have 1/3 superfree -but it won't do any harm if you do ;) -I usually eat more than 1/3 superfree on any of the plans

I would try out the green days -there is no sense in missing out on A+Bs by sticking to EE if you aren't really benefiting from the meat side of EE

Hope that ramble makes sense :o

((((Dizzy)))) sorry to hear your op has been cancelled

Not a good start to day when I realised I'd forgotten to make my brekkie the night before, and had no shreddies in so had to use up lots of HE's for breakfast :rotfl:ah well! And now I'm argueing with myself about what to have for dinner :rotfl:!

    Green day for me:

B - oats (HEB), apricots (HEB), banana, kimmed milk (0.5HEA)
L - big salad, HB egg, pot salad (1syn for LF mayo)
D - chickpea dahl with added peas, rice, FF yog as dip
Snacks - banana, pear, noodles with soy sauce, cheese (HEA), kitkat (5.5syns)
Drinks - coffee (milk = 0.5HEA), fruit tea, water, squash

    Total syns = 6.5

Thankyou MrsM. That makes perfect sense, I have been on EE since january but have slowly changed diet in an attempt to each much less meat/be more economical etc and it suddenly hit me that I was at risk of becoming a vegetarian (sshh dont tell anyone :o) and something clicked about the green days. The extra a/b choice will be good though.
