    Baked Bean Lasagne

    Ingredients......
    1 large onion
    100g mushrooms
    1 red pepper
    3 garlic cloves
    2 tins of baked beans
    1 tin of chopped tomatoes
    lasagne sheets
    Mixed herbs
    lea & perrins/Worcester sauce
hot pepper sauce (add if desired)
Hot chilli powder ( a teaspoon to give it a fiery taste)
Some cheese to top the lasagne (Use as healthy Extra)
    Method:
Preheat the oven to Gas mark 6 (200 degrees)
Cut up the onion, pepper, garlic and mushrooms into fine pieces. Spray frying pan with frylight and add them all to the pan. Cook for around 5 minutes until golden brown.
Add the baked beans, tomatoes, mixed herbs, Worcester sauce, chilli powder and hot pepper sauce as desired and cook for a few more minutes.
Build the lasagne layers in a casserole dish, alternating bean/tomato mixture with lasagne sheets.
Cover with foil and bake in the oven for
    30-35 minutes.
Uncover and add cheese to the top then bake for a further 5 minutes.

I do my baked bean lasagne a little differently

I make a 'cheese' sauce for the top using ff cottage cheese, quark, an egg, a little mustard powder and cheese from hea and put on top - makes it a little more cheesey & imo a little more substantial
I also put quorn mince in to bulk it out!

I lost 1.5lbs this week - so got off what i put on the previous week!

Didn't have a good night after WI or Tuesday - i had totally bad food on tues as i was at Uni for an exam - but did sample the chickpea and veg cottage pie from the canteen - gorgeous - will have to give a go at making it!

Yesterday i had a good day - no syns! and had to force my heb's down late last night!

    Today is a green day

    B - Banana & cherries
S - Muller light with raspberries (going to regret eating this when heartburn attacks - but it was so nice!), more cherries
L - 5 Scan Bran (heb) with quorn slices & ff cottage cheese with lots of pepper! & leftover tesco chicken flavour rice (need to check syns!)
S - More cherries (can you tell i got some cheap at market? :rotfl:) maybe ff vanilla onken
D - i am out at a hungry horse tonight so will stick with
Jacket potato with beans & cheese (hea) with 2 fried eggs (1 for oil) followed by the smallest raspberry ripple mousse (5 syns and only 79p!) and a coffee
Trying to drink more water - still on my coffee though with milk (hea)

I do have a heb left so might have a fibre plus when get home depending on how full i am!

    Tomorrow is EE day
    B - Strawbs/raspbs with ff yog
L - ??? Might do a 'fake' chow mein with extra veggies - think there is one in the freezer (minus the noodles)
    S - Cherries, Cherries & ..... more Cherries!
D - Beef stew & mash - already in the slowcooker! (i forgot i was going out tonight until i had preped it all!) which has lots of swede, onions, turnips etc (Mr T casserole mix - the whole bag!)
S - Milk in coffees (hea), Fibre plus or scan bran (heb)

Been suffering with really bad trapped wind recently which is in my back so i think i need to drink some peppermint tea? Any other suggestions?

Sorry to hear (no pun intended) about your op Dizzy - dodgy hugs :grouphug:

My old consultant keeps pleading with me to go to her group again! Its strange - i really miss it - prob cos i don't get on with new constultant that well!

Had an AF order delivered on Monday - lots of couscous & lentils & beans & soup mixes at fantastic prices - also got the velvet crunch chilli crisps (16 for £2!) I love that company!

WELL DONE EVERYONE WE CAN DO IT!!!

Nessie - I drink green tea with mint in the mornings and peppermint tea in afternoon and evenings and have found it really helps with my ibs symptoms and so it may help you.

    Thanks Primmer,

My mum had suggested drinking the peppermint tea after each meal - are the twinings digestiv tea bags ok for this? - it has peppermint and fennel seeds in it (already some in the cupboard!)

    Thanks again x

Sorry to hear your news Dizzy, what a bummer :(

I went to the doctors yesterday about my stomach and the good news is it's not a hernia, and I'm not pregnant :D. The muscles that run straight down the middle of my stomach have come apart by about 3 inches (they're meant to be together), so I've got to have a scan then physio. At least I can tell people what's wrong with me now when they accuse me of being pregnant

Had a good EE day yesterday

B: banana, alpen light (HEB), satsuma
    S: mullerlight
L: SW Lasagne (1), salad, alpen light (HEB)
    S: Apple, satsuma
D: SW spaghetti carbonara (1)(OMG will definately not make this ever again, it was like spaghetti with scrambled eggs :rotfl:), SW chips, salad, kitkat (5.5)
    S: skinny cow lolly (3.5)

    HEA milk in teas

Todays menu is the same as yesterday for breakfast and lunch. Probably will have a jacket potato with beans & cheese & salad for dinner tonight after weigh-in, if I remember to buy a potato later :D

Im on my usual red carb curfew again -which will be like this:-

    activia (2.5)
    mixed berries

    1/4tsp olive oil (0.5)

    lemon
    spinach

    3:45pm
    melon
    raspberries
    8 x 1/2 walnuts
    (8)
    7:30 pm
    lemon n black pepper salmon

    carrots
    onions
