Morning all, I didn't make it to WI last night as I suddenly realised I didn't have 2 evenings to finish my uni work as we're out tonight so I had to get it done last night!! Luckily I managed to get it finished by 1030pm although I'm not sure it'll get me the best mark! it doesn't really matter though as its a foundation degree and you only get a pass or fail, not a grade so as long as I get 40% I'll pass. SO assuming I do, thats it, finished now thank god!!!
We're at MIL's for tea tonight so don't know what we'll be eating but Grandma and an Aunt are coming too so I can guess it'll be roast pork etc with apple pie for pud!! I won't be eating the pie, I hate it anyway!!!
So, EE today, will probably be slightly over syns depending what MIL cooks but I'm usually well under so can make up for it the rest of the week:
Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), banana
Lunch - leftover cajun chicken and veggies (2), leftover wedges (2), sour cream (2), fruit salad
Tea - ????
Snacks - grapes and a pear if I need them.0 -

syns will be kitkats or penguin wafers if I can get some on my travels.
Check back in later, am clinging to the tank! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

This Ive come to know...

Any news re the bolognese thing from WI yet?
Well I'm nickety nackered today........I've been reaaaallllllly good & done a mahooooosive pile of ironing :T (well I did put some stripey golf shirts & a patterned Duvet set back in the basket as they were just tooooo much for my poor old wobble vision to cope with  didnt want to puke on em & have to wash em again)
I will ask MIL to do those when she comes to 'Babysit me' next week when I'm home from hosp lol
I don't know why she thinks I need a babysitter  but she means well & loves feeling 'needed' :A and chances are I might just feel a tad 'sore' after having a hole drilled in mi noggin for the bone graft:rotfl: so I might be grateful of a little help (as long as she doesnt bring any flipping buns, big fat white teacake sarnies from the bakers or chocolates like she did last time I'd been in hospital :mad::p
Today has been a green day
B banana & strawbs & Activia yog followed by a bout of griping indigestion/acid/my hiatus hernia pain(I forgot my lansoprazole this morning) *stooopid dizzy*
L (had this late)JP & cottage cheese satsuma
T ? dunno? maybe a (HEA) cheese/mushroom omlette & beans, strawbs & yog for pud if needed
HEB oaty bar HEA2 milk for teas
syns choc options 2 penguin wafer 4.5
Yes - but I'm even more confused!
You can still put veg in a bolognese sauce but because the whole thing cooks down whilst cooking you are advised that to comply with EE you have to serve some extra veg with it. This is because The veg will reduce more than the meat in the sauce, and you apparently have to factor in the fact that the pasta swells whilst cooking! ( The relevance of that passed me by completely!)
When i asked about soup - and did we have to eat extra veg with it I was told that because soup is probably mainly veg - it's fine ( which is a relief!)
She also went on to reiterate that you have to eat your fruit/veg with your meal for it to count - not just graze on it throughout the day!
I will ask my sister if anyone has mentioned this where she goes - I think her group is in Didcot.
Leader did mention that she had made a curry with beef and sweet potato - and since the new advice had come in she was putting twice as much sweet potato in to keep the proportions up! Apparently it's fine to do this!
Like i say - it's as clear as mud! But hey - soups okay so that's a bonus!
And I registered a 1.5lb loss this week and.....
I GOT MY 3 STONE AWARD!:j:j:j:j:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
:j WI at home. I have lost the last 2lb and now back at target.
Just in time for the bank holidayI have been doing extra body magic and red days only.

HI yorkie
I just called my sister on this and she tells me the existing rules have not changed at all. She says that she believes that your consultant has misunderstood the rules. She told me about one of the other consultants in her area that was always a red/green doer, adn apparently gives really poor advice on EE. Theres a group manager who shoul attend the group every 6 weeks or so to ensure your consultant is giving out the very best advice and to pick up on any isssues about how the plan is discussed in group to make sure that everyone has it right.
She said it is not true that you cant graze on your F&V as snacks- indeed if you didnt have these as snacks you are likely to be eating something thats synnable in its place. Or be hungry which we know doesnt work.
She has said that all the books have been written to promote high levels of F&V in the meals ( ie curries, pastas sauces etc)
It is - and has always been 1/3rd F&V per day not per meal. She confirmed theres nothing wrong with having eg a pasta and sauce with no extra veg as long as 1.3rdis SF all day then all is well.
Shes maintaining around a size 8 and has been for almost 18 months now and the plan has worked for her this way, works for others this way and is the way that all consultant have been trained and continue to be trained....
Have you ever seen the manager at your group? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

i have seen the manager at my group - but not rec ently. Our consultant only started as a consultant last October and freely admits that she has been doing it wrong since she joined slimming world.
If I do see the manager at a meeting I will ask her.....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
