Lynz you must be tiny... do you mind me asking how heavy you were when you started on SW? How long have you been at target? Hope you don't mind the questions!
Hi actaully im not that skinny, still got a bit of a jelly belly and a bit to lose!
I was about a size 16 bottom and about a 14 top when I started last year. Im trying to hunt out some photos but I think I deleted a lot of them. Last year I got to target ( 8-10) and then I bailed out of SW after that "tried to maintain alone" then stopped trying, and was up to a size 14 bottom again till i restarted again about 14 weeks ago.
When I restarted I was 9stone 13 and 3.4. So Ive only lost a stone but that has been equivalent to about 3 dress sizes. Im an 8 on top now and a 10 bottom. Although my size 10 pencil skirt is now too big and swirling around but I dont think i'm an 8 as my hips are disproportionately big but my waist is very small really. Even when I was bigger my waist was always "small" prob not as small as now tho as im now 25 inch waist - which makes me smaller than when i was a teenager as I remember vividly buying 30w-30leg jeans then!
If I find any photos then Ill post them up! Most of them are on facebook so I cant find a way of copying them on the hard drive. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I do find them very convinient when rushing around to work etc.Dizzy, bread has the same effect on me, I do however, find that I can eat WM pitta without a problem so I just have those all of the time. Some people believe that alot of people's problems with bread are due to modern mass production techniques used to make the bread rise really quickly rather than the wheat or yeast. The fermentation process doesn't happen fully and thats meant to be something to do with it. I'm pretty sure thats my problem as when I treat myself to homemade bread (that I leave to rise really slowly) it doesn't seem to affect me the same.
Definitely agree about the bread; I hardly ever eat it but if I do I s-w-e-l-l-l-l-l-l right up, I was blaming the yeast but you are probably right it's the method. I have no problem with wholemeal pittas (yummy) or poppadoms or such, only with raised bread. Luckily I've never been keen on it except occasionally garlic bread if I'm out, I'll eat that
Dizzy I am so glad to see you back, it's quiet without you and we do worry. (I had a dizzy turn myself last night, slept for 12 hours - the first three on the floor as I couldn't be bothered to go to bed)! Middle ear infection, annual occurance, tablets had run out dammit. My own fault. Anyway, I do hope they get you sorted out soon, 12 hours was enough for me xx
oh, my other rule about keeping eyes shut when going to the loo in the night, DO NOT WHATEVER YOU DO CHECK THE TIME. Keep 'em closed, or at least averted from the clock.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

I checked the syns on SW website and they're the same for all flavours of Light Philly including plain. Why do you suppose the flavours can't be counted as a HEA?
Sorry to labour this but I find it sooo confusing.0 -

25 inch waist!!! Wow! I dream of being a size 10. I remember being about 16 and someone saying to me'you could be a size 10 if you wanted to' as I think under all the flab my frame's quite small, my wrists are tiny for example. But, I'm not sure I'll ever get there, it seems impossible, even though I know that it isn't, because there are so many people who have got down to that size to prove that it can be done.Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
You probably can do. To be honest, this one stone has been 3 dress sizes. I think Mrs E also has had clothing issues where she is shrinking out of things as soon as she buys them
Every pound is a bit of a stone.... only one way

I had an experiment last night, I made a base for SW-type quiche from couscous and a bit of instant mash, it was lovely, very successful. Regular couscous (not the expensive stuff in coloured packets with dried up bits of vegetable in), and a small scoop of smash which kind of holds it together.
I "made" it in the bottom of the dish I planned to use for the quiche, let the 2 ingredients soak up the water and some added Marigold flavouring powder, you could use whatever is your favourite. Then I gave it a couple of mins in the microwave to "dry" it a bit, having made sure it covered the bottom evenly. After that added the quiche ingredients and cooked it.
Hot it was delicious, I think at least as nice as using a regular potato base.
Cold it was certainly no worse, and I thought better, than "regular" cold quiche which has that horrible chilly floppy pastry on the bottom. It would have been possible to hold a small slice as finger food too at a buffet, which ...erm... can't be done with regular SW quiche lets face it :rotfl::jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

I'm the same shape as you Lynz, albeit a stone heavier. I've always had a tiny waist and had to take in bought trousers at the waist. For that reason I used to make most of my trousers back in the old days, but then fabric and patterns got so expensive and bought clothes didn't seem to get any more expensive ...:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
