I don't drink cola, but thats as much because I can't stand the stuff, or the company. There's no 'rules' directly against chocolate (hot or no) or cola (or dr pepper etc.), its primarily the caffeine content we object to as the dependence on its effects can have really damaging effects on people both physically and in terms of the addiction...
Ha ha. With all that's going on in the world how can you be bothered to object to caffeine? Terrorism...destruction of the rain forests...global warming...worldwide recession...caffeine...

There is more caffine in Dr Pepper than there is in coke according to my sons pead. and they are both made by the same company so your beliefs dont really fit with abstance from caffine, my daughter has similar beliefs in that shes a veggie but she wears leather etc. and she has convinsed herself that wearing leather dosnt go against her veggie beliefs because it suits her to do so.
If you dont believe in drinking/eating caffeine, fair enough but you cant change the composition of a product to ignore the fact that there is caffeine in it to sit yourself, chocolate also has caffeine in it as do many everyday products so you need to check the ingredients in every product that you eat/drink to make sure that you avoid all caffeine containing things.0 -
due to my partners wage all of his money goes on mortgage bills and his credit cards ( we have managed to get rid of one due to selling anything and everything in the house lol) we are left with 70 a month to buy food, nappies, clothes and other essentials!my partner is paid £5 over the high wage threshhold (before tax) and so we cant claim it!
If you're only left with £70 per month to buy food, nappies etc after partner has paid debts, mortgage, perhaps you need to renegotiate debt payments?
If you're partner is earning so much that you don't qualify for tax credits but you only end up with less than £20 per week, something isn't right. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

I'm not changing anything to suit myself. Coke, Pepsi, Dr Pepper all contain high amounts of caffeine, and as an additive too. I don't drink red bull, relentless etc and avoid pro plus. I only buy Lemsip Max powder as the capsules contain caffeine. Yes, chocolate does contain caffeine but its a trace amount and is a natural element presence in the beans themselves; its also not the reason people eat chocolate, while it very often is the reason people drink tea, coffee, coke etc. I'm intrigued what else you come across every day that you think contains caffeine?Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -
I hate to say it but 25 jobs in 3 months, say 12 weeks is not alot at all. That is just over two a week which if i am not mistaken is below the minimum requirement. If it were two and a half months say ten weeks that is still under the minimum requirement which is three a week. If you look at it that way they could be well within their right to think that the OP is restricting her chances of finding a job.
I didn't mean it was a lot to apply to, but a lot that lead to nothing, unless of course they apply to jobs they are not at all qualified for or have no experience of.0 -

It's steps, not applications.
So say each application involved:
1 Look in paper
2 Contact Employer
3. Complete and return application form
That's potentially 2-3 steps per application.0 -

Quite right. And religion does narrow mindedness and bigotry to perfection. They preach narrow mindedness and bigotry. I, on the other hand, am not in the least bit narrow minded or bigoted. I simply have no respect for pointless beliefs, such as objecting to caffeine.0
