I'm not changing anything to suit myself. Coke, Pepsi, Dr Pepper all contain high amounts of caffeine, and as an additive too. I don't drink red bull, relentless etc and avoid pro plus. I only buy Lemsip Max powder as the capsules contain caffeine. Yes, chocolate does contain caffeine but its a trace amount and is a natural element presence in the beans themselves; its also not the reason people eat chocolate, while it very often is the reason people drink tea, coffee, coke etc. I'm intrigued what else you come across every day that you think contains caffeine?
I cant see my post replying to this one.
Caffeine is a natural chemical that occurs in many products so it is part of many diffrent things, my sons favorite drink apart from DP is a victorian drink produced in the NE of England but it is banned in some american states because it has 0.02% or so alcohol in it which is negligable in the UK but not in Mormon states in america where it is banned, yet drinks with caffeine are allowed in those states :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Cafeine dosnt agree with me so my weekly intake is equivilent to one shot of coffee spread over seven days, 24 hours as day, you eat chocolate every day and you will have a higher caffeine intake than me and its the same as many other popular foodsuffs and foods, caffeine is everywhere and in in many things.0 -

Why? If people come on a public forum to talk about their religious beliefs should I not be allowed to comment on them? Are their viewpoints to be respected simply because they're religious viewpoints, even if they're utter nonsense? Don't think so.0 -
It's steps, not applications.
So say each application involved:
1 Look in paper
2 Contact Employer
3. Complete and return application form
That's potentially 2-3 steps per application.
Are you sure..? I just went to check my JSA agreement but for some reason it is not where i thought it was.
I am sure you are expected to at least apply for 3 jobs each week aswell as the steps you mentioned above.0 -

I'm sure, unless there's been recent change to the law of which I am unaware.0 -

OK well i will bow to your greater knowledge on this then.. However they did make some changes to my agreement, can't think if it was at the 12 or 18th month stage and this is from when i am thinking the 3 jobs a week.

Gojojo I was in a similar situation to you when I was left jobless after the company I worked for closed, my daughter was 20 months old at the time. When I went for my first meeting with an advisor at the job centre I explained that with my husband working full time during the day I would only be able to work between the hours of 6pm and 7am.
They were very understanding and adjusted my job seekers agreement accordingly, when I had my 3 month review I had to start looking for jobs with day time hours to show my willing to look for work. I think it all depends on who you speak to, I understand your point about childcare as I was looking at £45 a day to place my daughter in a nursery!
It's a juggling act, I now work in the afternoon as my mother looks after my daughter but this is an option not available to everyone. I had a couple of advisors who were insistent that I dump my daughter on the next available family member and get back to work. I work full time at the weekend in a second job so it's a 7 day working week for me, but I'd rather that than fork out the cost of paying a stranger to raise my child.
Good luck Gojojo, I hope you find a solution that suits you and your family."Organic!! I grew up on Angel Delight..." - Dylan Moran0 -

There is no literature that specifies 'NO CAFFEINE', we object to the misuse of habit forming substances. Caffeine is one, and yes there are lots of others in lots of other places; misuse of paracetamol would fall under the same heading too.
I speak from experiences. Ask people who drink tea or coffee if they can function properly without that first cup in the morning, or without a reasonably constant stream throughout the day. Ask people who smoke which they feel more like they could do without, cigarettes or their tea/coffee. Ask people how they feel when they go longer than usual without their usual intake of coke/pepsi/dr pepper/red bull.
I have a friend who drinks diet coke at a rate of at least 2l a day, and she feels like she can't function without it.
Every one of my colleagues at work feel like they just can't keep going without a cup of tea/coffee first thing and then from time to time throughout the day; one even is almost making he next cup by the time the last one is finished.
And the experience that, religion or no, put me right off caffeine for good; and ex-girlfriend tried to keep up with my 80+ hour working weeks (we worked at the same Center Parcs), but she didn't understand. I worked until my body started telling me it was getting too tired, then I eased off and took it easy. This way I could do 80 hours for 5 weeks or so and then would fall back to 35 or sometimes less relaxing (and spending the money I'd not had them time to while working). She, on the other hand, refused to be outdone so she kept herself going by a steady intake of strong coffee, red bull and pro plus tablets. Despite my warning her she carried on and on until she simply collapsed almost mid-sentence at work and had to take 2 weeks off with exhaustion. Caffeine prevents you feeling how tired you are getting, but has no effect at all on the rest your body actually needs.
I don't need a religious reason to avoid habit and addiction forming chemicals; they take away your ability to choose clearly and make you dependent on them.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0
