The computer is not letting me uninstall any programmes and also won't run ccleaner. I think i'll need to erase the hard disk and start again with a fresh windows? Is that your recommendation?

How do i go about that and then putting another copy of windows on?

    Thanks

Really sorry about that - somehow I posted the wrong link. Basically you want to format and reinstall, likely using your restore partition. The usual method is ALT F10 when you boot up, but check your manual.

My manual is saying that alt f10 should be the correct keys but it's not working. Ive enabled d2d in bios but still nothing?

You'll have to get a system install disk, perhaps from the manufacturer in that case!

Also, i can't really do the alt and f10 thing wrong? I've tried both alt buttons. Would the boot order make any difference?

    Thanks

    make and model of pc?

what version of windows 32 or 64 bit?

please clarify, if you boot up in safe mode, and try to run 10 different programs, exactly what happens on screen?

    eg run

    sfc
    rstrui
    msconfig
    internet explorer
    eventvwr

do any programs at all work, and do they all give the same error?
