    So i have downloaded the rescue system and also unetbootin and have copied them to the usb stick.

    Restarted the computer with the usb stick in and then pressed f2. I then put the usb drive at the top of the list to boot from and then saved changes.

    The computer then starts to boot and then says error check cable connection

    PXE E63 Error while initialising the nic

    PXE M0F Exiting intel PXE ROM

    Any ideas?

    As Closed asked, did you run unetbootin to install the ISO file onto the USB stick?

    Also did you use SD Formatter on the USB stick first? Try that first. When you run SD Formatter, press 'Option' and choose 'Full (overwrite)' and put Format Size Adjustment to 'ON'.

    If you still have problems:
    1. Try a different USB port;
    2. If you get the same message, then try one of the antivirus bootdisks;
    3. If you continue to get the same message, then try an alternative to unetbootin (http://alternativeto.net/software/unetbootin/);
    4. If you continue to get the error message, then try a different USB stick.

    I think if you've exhausted all of those possibilities, then maybe there's a problem with the machine.
  • No i just copied both files onto the stick.

    The scanner detected
    0 infections
    21 warnings
    0 suspicious
    0 infections

    Obviously not detected anything? Should i run a different antivirus? I've downloaded DR Web so i'll try that too.
