I don't shop at Tesco so I haven't had to decide how to use vouchers but for whatever reason the photos that Henlan's claimed to have posted online are no longer available. They were on Photobucket under the name tescodtd and appeared elsewhere including on hotukdeals but no more. Only available from Google's cache.

Bug*er me, my (HTC Desire S) phone has Geotagging set ON as default (I do have unlimited internet so no cost) but I wouldn't have been very happy if I hadn't as presumably it would have eaten data every click of the shutter and cost me.

Also my photos have Geotags on them but the GPS is set to off, so don't quite figure how it overrides that general setting

Default is generally to ON, and even savvy IT peeps can get caught out as it doesn't tell you it is geotagging - look up the guy from mythbusters who ended up stalked!
Glad to have been of help

but the Police wouldnt be in the slightest bit interested unless it was a Criminal Act, which it wasn't.

perhaps the criminal act was you being accosted but you seem to have done nothing about that at the time.

What was the 'making a dash for it' comment, did you actually try to run off thus making you appear more in the wrong?

nobody is jealous, more that several of us think you may have had a hand in making this unfortunate incident happen, by your maximising your use of vouchers.

I note that you do not bother to argue that you knew you needed the receipts and had purposely left them 'in the car' in the hope that you would again, not be asked for them by your lax store.

I find this hard to believe also. A hardened DTDr would def carry their receipts with them, you plan before you go surely!! Also, the police would not understand the system, if Tesco staff dont understand, also the police are only interested in criminal activity i.e assult, why would you not complain about being assaulted, and keep bumping on about your receipts in the car!!! and even if you had the receipts, you could still have used the vouchers many times before. Just having the receipt does not ensure it is legit. The police would of course, be unaware of this.

I think you will find that keeping the recipt is the main object and not losing it, If you are asked for it and you dont have it and you left it at home or you left it in your car, you just walk away. Either come back with the recipt or go home etc.

Just a quick question.. is it ok to record a telephone call and post it online for people to hear?

Would I need to edit it and bleep names and info out?

I wouldn't, helans, if you're planning to use it in court.

I think that would depend on whether you had informed the other party in advance that the call was to be recorded

Doubt it, unless they had given their permission beforehand

Better to transcribe it without any caller details, or just give the gist of it. Need to also be careful about making it obvious who it is, even if you don't name them you could still be defaming them

Kinda awkward to explain, but there was a valid reason to dash off...unrelated to the situation. ;)

    it's not that
i think its because the story just doesn't add up
there must be parts you are choosing not to tell us, not sure why you would post if only telling 1/2 the story as peeps are assuming you tried to reuse vouchers-i know we are not allowed to talk about this anymore on the forum but might have helped to us understand the situation

I'm more than happy to tell you the whole store once it's sored, but for now, keeping it between me and the management.
