I saw some of these when I was in town yesterday lunch and thinking I could get myself off the naughty step rang MrM to get him to get one (he even offered to pick up 2) from Sainsbury's when he was popping in later. It doesn't count if someone else buys for you does it?? lol. Anyway my fiendish plan failed cos he said they had none so I will try and pick one up today. Can never have enough body butter and I actually think I'm doing well with my stash of them - have one large TBS one in Moroccan Rose, 3 x small Boots ones (these only last me a couple of weeks a time though in fairness) and 1 small TBS Pink Grapefruit one. Surely there is room for one more? (If you listen carefully you can hear VALM hammering in the tent stakes on the naughty step.Feeling a bit guilty I bought the OPI TSV now - but couldn't resist! Would have gone for the Auto delivery if the black shatter in the August delivery was the red shatter instead! Will not be buying anymore TSV's now - not even the Liz Earle on Saturday.:A
I am seriously going to ebay anything I don't like out of this TSV and the Black Shatter will go on there when it arrives as we do have one.
Thankfully I don't get on with a lot of LE products (especially the treatments as they all have camphor in them). I am getting low on the Instant Boost Skin Tonic however am still looking for alternative as I think it's expensive for toner. She always puts a small size of this in her TSVs though which is a shame - would be great if once in a while they really concentrated on the essentials. Have you seen what's in the TSV already? It's posted up on shoppingetlly.comBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Right, I think I have just come to an executive decision under the Pink Rose Candle Philosophy - tonight I shall be throwing out the dregs of the Clinique toners I have been trying to use up. I have a tiny bit of the #3 left, about 30ml of the #2, and then a 15ml of one somewhere too. I've been trying to use them up since I joined in March, and it's been painful (almost literally - I don't have sensitive skin but these do sting somewhat!)
I have a Lancome toner in the stash which I shall pull out and try using instead.
On this topic - how many of you use toners? Do you find them necessary? I have combination oily/dry but more oily skin, and wear a lot of makeup every day so I guess it is probably beneficial for me to use after cleanser? And if you do use them, any recommendations?
x
Please please chuck out that Clinique toner. It's not worth it using it to save money if it's causing your skin problems. I use the LE Instant Boost Skin tonic but am look out for something less expensive as for me toner is helping to rebalance my skin as it should at the moment. Mainly because I'm using a foaming cleanser which whilst is effective is stripping my skin. I've seen the recommendation above for the No.7 green toner and saw in their mag that there's a new rosewater one being released so will try these next I think.I've been using the Liz Earle C&P / S&G fab pore cleansers with the muslin cloths - I tend to rinse well and hang them to dry after use, and change a fresh one every few uses (I only use it at night so once a day) I'm sure some people use a fresh one for every use, but as long as it's rinsed well mine seem fine for at least 2 or 3 'cleans', then go in the washing machine.
x
I'm the same although if I've used it to remove heavy make up it goes straight in the wash.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. OMG just spent 40 mins on BS site trying to get some bargains..seems to depend what you put in basket as when I went over the amount needed the whole basket was charged at full price and no freebies:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:have now got all freebies in basket BUT only because I have put in stuff I don't really want:mad::mad::mad::mad:this is why I usually end up buying nothing...even DH has probs with this site!
slept in same bed but relations very very cool to say the least, told me he doesn't love me but after I had been crying for hours said to "hang loose"Don't know what to think any more, guess we are behaving like a couple of kids,he has never been angry for so long BUT when I asked if he was angry he said no so am totally confused:)0 -

Just had a quick flick through my glamour mag - just to warn you all next month they are giving away a choice of 3 benefit products with the mag - have to admit i dont know what they are (nail varnish, lip gloss etc) something called "high beam" "bene tint" and "posie tint". As i subscribe i assume ill still get the freebie, i got the last one anyway. (Sorry - just read back through and see i was beaten to it on this
) I did however find my keys this morning - they were in a shoe!

I have to say, my mega BS glitch was on the 25th March (I just went back and checked!) and now 6 weeks later, there's another good deal on. Hm, most people would get through the products bought in one of my glitches in about 6 weeks, trying to encourage brand loyalty maybe?
We were having a conversation about it a while back and trying to explain to the children that we had never had branded trainers when we were children. They couldn't understand why and we were pointing out that the likes of JD sports and sports direct weren't there then so trainers were really expensive. DH was saying that the price of trainers will never be able to go back up to it's original level because people just won't buy them at that price when they know that they could have got them for x amount cheaper.
I think this echoes what Bronnie was saying abut the hemp hand cream, she loves it and would happily pay £10 a tube for it but with all of the offers and glitches, she felt she would struggle if she had to go back to paying that price because it had devalued in her mind.
Food for thought I think. I think we may well come out of this recession as a changed nation. I just hope that the change is for the good. It would be nice to see the power of the people being invoked and life becoming more family friendly with less shift work etc. I don't think that will happen though. I do hope companies such as the horrible ones who offered charlie a job working 859 hours a week go under and people tell them to get stuffed but I worry that people are in so much debt that they will take any job going in order to pay debts. This in turn pulls the rug out for lots of other people as the companies turn round and say "Well so and so was happy to work those hours." and it becomes company policy.
Oooooh very political rant this morning!
I have a headache and seem to have woken up extremely bunged up this morning. This doesn't bode well for my sewing later. I think it could be hay fever but I feel rubbish. Anyhoo, must crack on. actually i have to agree with you kaz and broonie. Ive started to get like that now with most things, especially with OH. I mean if i see something like a book i want out in town i wont buy it there and then because i know i could get it cheaper online etc whereas OH would just pick it up and not even consider getting it elsewhere. It is bad in a way though i suppose because ive got into such a mentality now that if something is full price i wont bother with it, but i suppose that is a mse way of looking at things
have to say i find i buy more offers now in the supermarket - if an item is reduced or on bogof ill stock up, but when it goes back to full price i cant stand the horrible feeling knowing your probably paying well over the odds on it - cheese is a fab example, nowadays i get the blocks which are on bogof @ £3.99 to be honest it is most weeks in tesco, but if they stopped this i honestly dont think i could bring myself to pay that much for 1!

Interesting Kaz, me and DH talk about this, he had to change his hours in January to 12 hr shifts, 3 days on 1 day off 3 days on and 7 days off, for every 7 off he owes them one day. Nightmare, he works 9am-9pm. He works every other Sunday and most Bank hols, we hate it. It will come around to the employees favour again as it has in the past but it could be a very very long time.
Rosemary - once me and DH didn't speak for a week, one day he came to pick me up from work and everyone was looking out of the window to see if we would speak, we didn't but when we got to the end of the drive we were in hysterics. Humuor is a good at times like this.

The best solution I can suggest is to try one of the "deep cleansing" shampoos, but this may not help much. Your only other realistic option would be to seek professional help to get it stripped, but beware, blacks when stripped can often leave hair a particularly violent shade of ginger.
A UU and a throw-away here today - the UU was the utterly rubbish Cutex nail Varnish Remover - lord knows how I ended up with this but it was the one for false nails - as a result it was hopeless on real ones! WIBA? Abso-bally-lutely not!Went through the bathroom cabinet looking for another one I was sure I had and whilst in there found a) a three year old factor 50 sun cream - that has been slung out now as I have bought fresh supplies this year, and b) a surprising amount of empty space! I do still have stuff in my stash box to put in there as and when needed, but the first thing is to go through the stuff in the cupboard which has been there the longest.
I will need to buy more NVR at some point - might have a browse in Boots today but probably won't buy yet as I have some pads to use first.
Charlie I think BeneTint is a lip & cheek stain? It's the sort of thing I'd usually be very scared of trying so I shall be hoping I don't get that. Mind you it doesn't seem like any of the products are anything I would usually use anyway so maybe I shall just eBay whatever I get - as my 6 month subscription only cost me £3 in the first place that would probably leave me in profit!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
