On this topic - how many of you use toners? Do you find them necessary? I have combination oily/dry but more oily skin, and wear a lot of makeup every day so I guess it is probably beneficial for me to use after cleanser? And if you do use them, any recommendations?

    x

I use toner but don't have a HG. I had loads of Time Delay ones that used to be free or almost free before Boots excluded them from the vouchers. Currently using a No7 one, again I have a few of these which were free with No7 vouchers because they were on clearance. You can still get Sanctuary toner with the skincare voucher but they will probably exclude that too soon.

Plain rosewater from the chemist would probably be the best cheap option or if you want a fancy bottle the new Benefit skincare has a lovely vintage look glass toner bottle.

Nooooo.... anther Body Shop order! SAVE MEEE. I can't justify this one.

    How are they about returns?

I don't order cosmetics online at all but how about a strict limit of one online order per month?

I heard from a friend you can go to vote if you have photo ID and separate proof of address, you don't need to have your voting card. They will still mark you off the list.

Last time I forgot my card, they just asked for my name and address. That's not a very secure way though!!

Also, bev, I think it should be ok for more than one use, let me know if you want me to pm you the L'Occitane code. I don't mean to tempt, but in case there's something you need :)

Oh buger! Just realised about voting too! Keep forgetting, have to vote for 3 things this time round, its getting confusing, Local and national elections (Welsh) and the AV referendum. Thankfully the church hall is literally opposite my house so hardly have any distance to go :p

Water seems to have stopped for now but my carpet is lovely and soggy, least the roaster caught the majority, hope I hear back from the agents soon.

Cancelled my mystery shop for today and a bloke phoned me up asking if I can do it tomorrow instead - which annoyingly I cant as Im seeing my parents tomorrow. Somewhat frustrating at it was fairly good too.

That Body Shop glitch is a killer,I played around with it and could get ridiculous orders *if* I needed them, 10 body lotions/washes for £15 plus the 3 free gifts too....
Actually noticed a good bargain on the site. Big bottle of moisturisor (either dewberry of watermelon) I think which was 250ml for £4 - no idea what that smells like but seems pretty cheap seeing as the rest of the 250ml bottles are around £8

Jeez - Really not having much luck this afternoon, decided I would quickly pop down the shop to get some dinner for tonight, except I cant find my door keys anywhere! I swear I manage to loose mine on a daily basis. Going to have to lock myself out I think and drop in via OH's work to get his keys. Ive looked everywhere for mine (I rarely use them as it is so how I loose them Ive no idea)

Rosemary - and all others needing them - huge hugs, wishing you strength.

Keeping this brief. Work to do!

You can vote without your polling card btw but hopefully I will shortly find mine where I think I left it!
I was umming and ahhing about voting but well, women died for the right to vote and that's still just within living memory.

My Mum was stateless, so could never vote - she loved politics though, and we had many a long discussion on this.

For the last 22 years since I moved here, my polling station has been in the park next to my house - a 25 yard walk! They have moved it now, so I'm going to get my trike out and pedal the 450 yards to where it is.

My UU - A travel size Boots Botanics Softening Body Wash - with Centella. WIBA? No. It foamed well, got me clean, but had little to no scent and the colour is off-putting. Essentially, it resembles the contents of blocked nasal sinuses, (apologies if you are eating) bit yerch to look at first thing in the morning on the shower puff.

As usual, all sorts of claims made for it, that it hydrates, energises. Yeah, yeah. Give me Original Source over this any day. Which is next - I have a Lemon and Tea Tree SG to UU that I've been spinning out as I rather like it. So does my son ... It's MINE!! :D

Right, I think I have just come to an executive decision under the Pink Rose Candle Philosophy - tonight I shall be throwing out the dregs of the Clinique toners I have been trying to use up. I have a tiny bit of the #3 left, about 30ml of the #2, and then a 15ml of one somewhere too. I've been trying to use them up since I joined in March, and it's been painful (almost literally - I don't have sensitive skin but these do sting somewhat!)

I have a Lancome toner in the stash which I shall pull out and try using instead.

I have combination skin and use the No7 green toner, I love it, it is very soothing. I use it to close my pores before I moisturise, I think if your pores are open then you moisturise then pores close, moisturiser will be trapped and cause blockages, that's my thinking anyway. HTH

Had a little uu that I think I forgot, Superdrug exfoliating fruits mask, single use sachet, wba when I've used all my other tubes and tubs.

I'm generally REALLY good, last month I only bought a shampoo, conditioner and deodrant because I was on to my last one. The Body Shop glitch was too good to pass up in my mind and i've now realised that I have 2 perfume gift sets, a full size coconut shower gel, body butter and body lotion which with a scrubby thing I can make into a gift set and the same with the Almond (although only got a shower gel and body butter). The only things i'll use is a moringa body butter, moringa body lotion and satsuma shower gel (all of which I love anyways). I'll probably return the solid perfume if I can.

It's amazing what a nice nap can do in getting rid of guilt :)

I hope everyone is enjoying the dubious weather and is getting excited for an evening of pampering. xx

Day 5 of May and I've failed thanks to the Body Shop glitch. Although I did get lots of body lotions and I don't have so many of those as I do shower gel, so now my stash is a little more even!!!:o;)

I've just totted all that up and I've got £89 worth of stuff for £30!! Thats 66.3% off!

Im SOOOO annoyed about this Body Shop thing because I totally want to buy so much stuff....I know I shouldnt though..

what an afternoon though - after intentionally locking myself out as I didnt have time to find my keys I thought Id make a dead quick trip out seeing as Id not heard back from the estate agents. Got back to find my LL standing outside my front door, of course as I didnt have my keys (and he didnt bring his) it was somewhat embarrasing...
Had to run round the corner to OH's work to get his and run back again, Im still so flushed haha

LL confirmed it is definetly leaking from upstair's shower and he admitted he had this problem a few years ago, but that he had stripped thier entire bathroom out and re-done it so he doesn't know why its happened again - the things you don't get told before you move in eh?

LL came back again and went into thier property, couldnt see any visible signs of leakage and left the shower running to try and re-create the leak but with no success so at the present none of us are entirly sure where the water is coming from but the LL has said to ring him directly if it happens again and he'll have to pull the floorboards up upstairs.
The guy upstairs just got home from work (LL had rung him to say he needed access) so came down to see me we've got each others mobile numbers now so if it happens again I can give him a ring and give him some warning...

At least I can shower knowing I wont be flooding anyone :p
