No energy or motivation today. I think there's something about the Thursday of half term, somehow. The initial burst of enthusiasm from the beginning of the week has worn out, and the realisation that there's not much of half term left is demoralising.
Am going to give myself an hour or two to relax, and then see how DD is getting on with the tidying that she promised to do after her brand of "relaxing" (which involves strewing stuff everywhere) in the living room.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

I think my application for a numbered Spanish credit card has been approved. I haven't heard anything from them, but the card has appeared on my online banking!Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Uneventful day today. DD had a friend round to play, so she's been out of my hair all day, and DS has been busy doing his own thing. I've reconciled the spreadsheet with the CC and current account statements, and phoned Santandr about the DD to pay my new CC off in full each month - I've changed the payment date to be just after payday instead of just before, which is how they'd set it up. :eek:Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

OK, I'll come clean.
On Thursday, the PIN arrived in the post but either I didn't get round to opening it, or some helpful member of my household put the post where I didn't actually see it until Friday morning.
On Friday morning I found Thursday's post and opened it, found the PIN and posted about it, saying that the card hadn't arrived yet. The post then arrived late on Friday morning, bringing me the card, even though I'd already posted earlier on Friday morning that the card wasn't there.
Decided it would be too complicated to explain on here why I was posting twice in one day, once saying the PIN had arrived but not the card, and again the same day saying the card had arrived. Planned to announce the card's arrival this morning and get my MFW posting back in sync with what the postal system has actually been doing.
Nevertheless activated the card as soon as it arrived. Then checked the DD dates and phoned up to adjust the payment day. Decided this was a very MSE thing to do, and posted about it.
Realised that it was potentially confusing to tell all you MFW people about the change of payment date when I hadn't said I'd got the card yet, and wondered if anyone would notice.
Found ICTD had posted on my thread and realised coming clean was the only thing to do. There we are - I am disorganised about dealing with the post when it arrives.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

And the moral is - always tell the truth, it's simpler :rotfl:.
Now, about my non-zero balance spreadsheet.......A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Yeah, that's why I was fudging slightly - it seemed easier than explaining - but gally is right and I should have told the truth from the beginning.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49
