In my eyes, losing inches or even CM means you're doing well. Many things could attribute for that 2lb gain. Muscle mass? (even if you're only walking, your legs have some of the largest muscles) extra water weight from staying hydrated maybe?
I've found eating "low fat" foods just means eating very high sugar foods. What helps me is changing up what I eat. Eg: Fill a nice wholemeal roll full of ham/lettuce one day, then have a roll with soup the next. Then the day after that go back to a normal cheese sandwich. Having those few slices of cheese every 3-4 days isn't going to do much harm. Assuming you're being sensible with your other meals.
100% agree. Losing inches is more important! :T
Well done to all the losers and STSers. :j To those who are gaining - keep at it and do not despair!!
I went for a really long walk this evening and have been super good foodwise. I am having to battle with myself not to succumb to the chocolate temptation but I will prevail!!!!
Anyhoo... WI again today and I am FINALLY under 10 stone again for the first time in ages!!!! 139.8lbs! I almost did a little dance, I was so happy. I am utterly determined to stick at it this time. I am already 4lbs over my Feb 2009 weight, which was when I decided I needed to lose weight! Since then I have gained 10lbs, absolutely shocking! But now I am on the way back down and I am so happy. It will be hard work to lose the rest but I really have got to do it.
p.s. I am sorely tempted to try a personal trainer. Not very MSE I know but a girl at work has got amazing results since starting with hers and I am impressed! Total so far is 6lbs in two weeks (I was 145.8lbs when I finally snapped), I can't quite believe it.:):):):) I would have done low carb ages ago if I'd known it was this good! I know it can't last but the quick boost has really lifted my spirits.
I am also trying to stick to good quality, lean protein rather than just eating fatty meats, cheese, cream, butter etc like everyone says you can on low carb diets. Laying down good habits for when I start to reintroduce carbs! :TGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

this morning i weighed in and i was 167lbs so a loss of 3 from last week but last week i had put on 2

I'm not convinced this week is going to be a good week for me. WI is meant to be tomorrow. But went out for a meal on Tuesday (ate too much) then Wednesday morning came out to find my cars number plates had been nicked, then Wednesday evening I almost got hit by a car as it's tyre blew out. So I ate a nice big bag of minstrels to calm my nerves. Back to the gym this morning though, but I didn't sleep very well last night so I wasn't the most productive.Current Debt: 0%.Current House Deposit: 7%.0

I am missing bread!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stop thinking about itLOL
There was nothing I liked more than bread..........there lay the road to doorsteps of toast dripping in butter, rounds of white bread bacon butties. Two rounds of sandwiches for lunch and afternoon lethargy (yes even with wholemeal bread sandwiches).
On a daily basis it's easier for me to skip bread from my diet completely to maintain my weight tbh. I know I should be able to eat it in moderation, but that doesn't happen for me! I substituted dark Ryvita and eat that fairly freely when maintaining...it doesn't have the same allure or addictive qualities as bread.
...just sayin!
Well done on the loss.....keep up the good work. Feels so much better to lose those pounds doesn't it?0 -
