I don't think so. It seems as if there's a whole lot of misinformation going round the houses.

My local council still links to the old guidance (not that there appears to be new guidance, or am I just confused as usual LOL) but my carer tells me one of her other clients has told her he's no longer allowed to leave his wife waiting. We're not sure where he heard that from because they don't appear to be issuing new advice to existing badge holders. Maybe it only applies to 'new' badges from a certain date? Now that could get REALLY complicated!!!

  • Given that new legislation is just~around~the~corner, and the old 1971 legislation has evolved differently in different area's of the UK, maybe some LA's are saying ' nowt ' while others are jumping the gun slightly !

Even when the new BB rules come out later this year the government insist on some areas being discretionary to fulfil what they describe as ' localism ' agenda requirements.

  • Hi

I've replied on the Site Feedback thread to let this thread get back on topic.

Please remember our email goes out on Tuesdays so the beginning of the week's always busy, and I needed to speak to the Forum Team member first. There's no point posting if I don't have anything new to tell you.

    Andrea :)
