Hello, can I join in please? I don't go out to work (I do some work from home though and from Jan will be doing far more) but am pretty busy usually and our 5-bed 3-bath 5 person home gets pretty dirty and untidy. My husband has just gone away this morning for 48 hours so I'm going to devote some time to the house before he gets back. He works from home too so I don't get much 'empty house' time to clean floors and do, err, big jobs, so to speak!

My tasks for today as to clean the kitchen and utility room floors. I can't do the downstairs bathroom as it's filled with our old washing machine which someone is coming at the weekend to take away. Together with the ironing board and two drying racks there isn't room to swing a mouse. Our dishwasher died overnight due to repeated power surges and cuts, fusing a load of other circuits in the process, but as DH has just gone away it will be a couple of days before he can look at it and (knowing him!) mend it. It's 15 years old so maybe its time has come. That means washing up by hand, fancy! Maybe today's not the day for a cook-in as I had planned. I think I'll do the floors and some washing & ironing then sort out the Christmas bits :)

I bummed out totally :( Not my fault, ahem. DH rang having forgotten something en-route to Scotland but he was only 10 miles away, getting new tyres put on his car before doing the other 390 miles of the journey! So I drove in to meet him while KwikFit did their stuff, and I left in such a hurry that I forgot all the library books that needed returning and hadn't got the various parcels ready to go - have done all that this evg instead.

I didn't clean the floors, sigh... I did mountains of washing up though, made a loaf, put yoghurt on to knit and made a rather nice supper. Also did several loads of washing and ironing (I do it all wet straight out of the wm). This evening I've caught up on paperwork and feel a bit more on top of things. Out much of tomorrow getting work done on my car. The week before Christmas I am going to try to be in a bit more, this is just ridicalickalous atm.
If you can't be a good example, be a dire warning :D

Unfortunately as he has Autism appealing to his nicer nature doesn't help one little bit, he will agree to it, then not sleep for 4-7 days, and keep looking for them. I've managed to take a bin sack out tonight of broken items, with sort of his permission. I'm going back in there tomorrow to make another box to try to get him to agree to me moving, then I will hide it, and if he doesn't react, then I'll fling them. School fayre coming up soon so a lot going there, and what we don't sell there is always donated to a charity shop, I volunteer to take the items myself then I know it's done.

Yep... I have 2 of them on there as well.. it is a wild ride at times but these things have to be done. They each have special things that I leave.. a well loved stuffed thing and they spend hours playing with the duplo so their models are left well alone they are somewhat hysterical if anyone so much as looks at them! Mine have never particularly played with toys. They like the action figures, but they are big chunky things, you tnose FP rescue heroes.. maybe that is why it is easier for me to get rid. or maybe I am just mean lol

My middle boy is having his CAT's tests in anticipation of high school admission next Tuesday and I mam bricking about it.. he has been told but I honestly don't think he will understand. I am giving him a note with my mobile number on and I am sitting outside the school, in the freezing cold.. ok so there is a coffee shop next door lol.. but I am not moving for the 3 hours he will be in there alone (with a classroom full of other people) I have phoned and spoken to the school about the issues and problems he has and hopefully they will be supportive.. and if all else fails his brother will be in a classroom somewhere in the building.. I really need therapy about this.

• Today's chores when we get home from work:
Cook dinner; put washing out; wash up (and put dishes away); paint skirting board and doors; start ironing so I have some clothes for work tomorrow. DONE

Tomorrow: Food shopping; Heat dinner (2 servings made from Monday); finish ironing; try to find room in bedroom to put clothes away; bedding in wash; paint window and loft hatch if it's not too cold to have window open. DONE (except for window which will now have to wait for Saturday and the loft hatch needs another coat still.). 1 lot of ironing done and put away, the rest is still drying.

Wednesday: Move furniture from our bedroom back into spare room; dust bedroom; clean bathrooms (I've given up hoovering, essential surfaces only); cook dinner; iron bedding and put away. Possibly mop kitchen floor but no promises.

Well kitchen floor can wait as it doesn't look too bad and we have a really quick (ready made :o ) dinner tonight so I'll quickly do the loo and sink while hubby's heating that then a bit of ironing if it's dry and then finally start making curtains. We've decided there's no point moving the furniture back in the spare room as it'll have to come out at the weekend to lay the carpet. Hence the bedroom will not get done at all.
New year, no debt! Debt free date - 02/01/07 :j :j :j :D
• Have sort of been doing this without realising it. I had massive clearout of spare room yesterday, found allsorts of treasure but not my missing Xmas pressies!

Did the bathroom last night and plan to do my bedroom over the next couple of days. I love the whole fling 27 things idea.

• evening.

not too bad today. Despite the fact that we hadn't been written in the appointment book at the hospital, so no-one knew where we should be and we were there for three hours for 4 blood tests for the baby. That scuppered some of our plans as we thought an hour maximum.

1) load of babies things through the WM
2) recycling put out
3) washing up done
4) presents finished for 3 more people.
5) bedding from yesterday dried in TD
6) cats now have had their booster and annual check up, so will be able to stay at the cattery over xmas
7) small food shop done

last night i managed to iron 35 items, which was a good chunk of the ironing pile.

I also managed to have a nice bath/wash my hair/put on a face mask, incorporating the december flylady habit of 15 minutes of pampering. While the baby is snoozing, i am going to take some bills from the coffee table upstairs to file away, bring dirty nappies from uptairs bin for outside bin, and start thinking about what i should do tomorrow.

I'll be going into town with my sister, so i think i should finish the xmas shopping as i can't be faffed with going shopping again. Someone managed to run into my sisters car on a roundabout the other day when we were shopping. I hate how distracted the chrimbo shopping makes some drivers get.

other than that, i might see what takes me fancy when i wake up and see how i feel after the night feeds.
