Well, I didn't actually get the tree up today but the front room is tidied and that almost killed me. I ended up in tears because I was in so much pain vacuuming.. while hubby watched of course! Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better!

Everyone's been working so hard, I'm really bringing up the rear atm as I've been out so much doing really boring stuff like taking the car for servicing, hmph.

Anyway, this evening I had one of those impromptu busies and ended up clearing out a cupboard in the study that has really been blocking my chi :rotfl: Actually it has been a pain, and as a result I've unearthed a load of stuff to use for Christmas tags and presents, freed up several folders and put together a load of stuff that can go out to storage in the garage and found I can manage with one fairly small cubby hole for current stuff. My in-tray is once again just that and not a crap repository and I've emptied a nice big box for DD's old drawings and loads of old letters and cards to me. Tomorrow DH and I are going to buy a couple of big tough plastic crates to put our wedding bits in so that they stay mouseproof in the garage. This might be the day to put the drill in his hand and show him exactly where I want pictures on the wall! Four months down the line and none of our wedding photos are on display, tchuh. We've also come up with a plan for freeing up the study table (that's separate to my desk) which currently has the TV and video on it which makes it a real ordeal to fold out the table and bring it into the middle of the room to do anything crafty.
DH was asking if I really needed all that craft stuff in the cupboard as I hardly ever use it and I was explaining that if only the bloody table was more accessible I'd be using the craft stuff!

Next task next week as well as lots of cooking is to approach the spare room quietly - I'm hoping to creep up on it and tidy it without it noticing... It's not bad, it's too small to get really bad, but the bed has gathered a bit of crap over the last few months. Other than that place isn't too bad - oh for a few free days to get stuff done! The FlyLady would be very proud of DH as he 'Astonished' the sink earlier LOL!
If you can't be a good example, be a dire warning :D

Well I got my deep clean done last week so this week will be maintaining it (which with a 3 and 2 year old is an endless task  )

    Still to do:-

Buy Christmas cards (including special ones for in-laws - I do hate this waste of money:mad: )
    Buy wrapping paper
Place tesco order for 17th Dec (have done mini order to keep date:D )
Make quiche and freeze for DD1 birthday on 18th
Make HM pizzas and freeze for DD1 birthday on 18th
Make DD1 birthday cake (will do this on Sunday after work - kids like to help)
Collect cake tupperware storage thing from friends (she's had it for 3 months)
Post 2 parcels and all cards
Buy Birthday cards for DD1 and DH
Pack stuff to take on holiday :j (DDs and I fly to Spain on 19th, DH on 23rd)
    Buy Dads present
Make sure stuff in freezer for DH to eat for 4 nights

Thats all I can think of at mo but am sure will be regularly updated.

Well done everyone :T this post has definately helped me focus.:D
  • Morning All

Well was up early today so no excuse - didnt get as much done at the weekend as I hoped so hope to have a very organised day today.

    So plans are -
    • Make kids packed lunches
    • Iron yesterdays washing and wash weekend clothes
    • Swish bathrooms
    • Deep clean living room and dining room so can Xmas decorate
    • Get our tree up and ready for children to decorate this evening
    • Get out all Xmas pressies and wrap - write a list of the last ones needed and these will be bought by next weekend
    • Write all Xmas cards - post

Think that will be enough for today - main aim this week is to keep on top of washing and ironing and swish bathrooms each day. Have Tesco shop booked for 22nd Dec and need to add some more items - maybe will get this done today or definately tomorror.

  • Oooh, looks like I've failed miserably - I haven't stuck to the list at all!

However I have had an eclectic couple of days. Friday morning we went shopping and had a very non OS fry-up. :D All Xmas shopping done except for a couple of pressies I've yet to make. Evening time we were bell ringing and making mince pies. Saturday morning I had to collect a parcel from the depot (80 minute round trip), lunchtime I was wallpapering, evening drinking :o, Sunday morning I got the camper to start (woohoo!), went and did my office cleaning job, finished the wall papering, planted some Christmas planters, cleaned the living room (even dusting  ) and put the tree/lights up.

Looks like the spare room is finally on hold for a while as we've decided not to put carpet in but sand the floorboards instead - not this side of Christmas.

So revised 'list' this week is

Monday: use up food in fridge, clean chickens and make kitchen presentable for neighbour to come in.
Tuesday: Staying in hotel overnight, hubby paying for me to have my hair done, eating out. :D
Wednesday: Work's Xmas outing in Barcelona! Early morning, late night and staying at in-laws overnight.
Thursday: Start making xmas pressie for Grandad, food shopping
Friday: Quick meal then out to pub after bell ringing
    Saturday: Out with my mum.

    Somehow I think that's a little more realistic.:D
    New year, no debt! Debt free date - 02/01/07 :j :j :j :D
