Took a lovely photo of one of our new kittens in the christmas tree yesterday morning, so after work I rushed off and got some made into a christmas photo with a lovely border around it and posted half a dozen off as christmas cards!

Tonight I got all the pressies I have wrapped and labelled.

Tomorrow I need to buy just one little pressie for one of the boys Santa sacks, and something small for my sister :)

Will also double check Christmas menu and write list for the final food shopping on Saturday or Sunday.

    1. [STRIKE]Tidy front room and put up tree.[/STRIKE]
    2. [STRIKE]tidy back room [/STRIKE]and put up trimmings... decided not to bother as I hate trimmings anyway so we will make do with just a tree! it is tidied though.
    3. Sort presents.
    4. [STRIKE]wrap unwrapped presents.[/STRIKE]
    5. Buy gifts for [STRIKE]my mother, my stepdad[/STRIKE], sister 3, sister 4 and hubby. (I do know what I am getting it is the money I am having difficulty with)
    6. [STRIKE]food shop Order meat with BIL. Tesco delivery booked [/STRIKE]for 21st (so if there is anything missing I can still find time to get it)

All in all I think this is about as organised as I will get and the rest will slot into place itself. DH is getting the presents for my sisters tomorrow when he goes shopping in town. So I just have to wait for a couple of deliveries and can wrap the final bits.

    Morning all.

5 days to go, how is everyone doing?

The christmas tree got decorated last night so we are almost back on track. This morning I have to pop down to the florist to see if I can get some cellophane. I also want to start some oranges drying and I have to make the mantelpiece wreath with the holly I bought the other day and some ivy picked from the garden. Apart from that the task is to sort out the understairs cupboard and get the excess decorations put away. DS is going to his Dad's as he hasn't seen him for 2 weeks so I will try and get DD to play in her room so I can get some housework done.

Just waiting on 3 parcels now. DD1's DVD player turned up last night. I felt so sorry for the poor delivery guy. He looked really tired and I asked how he was coping, he admitted he had been working 15 hour days for the last 2 weeks as he's self employed.

    hello all!

well seeing as im working lates (6pm til midnight) most nights ths week, i got up too late this morning to go shop..i hate crowds at the best of times  so ive been ploughing on with the decluttering and planning the last minute christmas bits. tomorrow OH and i are going into town at the crack of dawn for breakfast before we hit the shops

today ive got to grips with the back bedroom. i cant believe how much i have put to one side to throw away - stuff ive clung onto to years, but know i will never ever use again (3 pairs of holey trainers, anyone?:D )

i even ventured under the bed   and there is now room under there for the safe storage of something i would really like to keep *note to self, must not use it to store more clutter* just hope OH gets back now in plenty of time for us to go to the dump to recycle all the cardboard boxes he took to collecting (men  ) and to donate my big bag and box of stuff to the charity shop.

feeling very proud of myself :j

only problem im having is christmas presents. im almost finished, and everything ive bought is wrapped and ready to give. but they take up sooo much room in the mean time, and they're making the place look untidy..i feel like they're undoing all my hard work on clearing, declutting and tidying. part of me secretly wishes christmas was all over so i can give them out and have my nice empty cupboards which i decluttered especially to store them all back. am i a bad person? :D

I can't wait to get rid of my pile of presents. They were in my son's room until he came home on leave and now they're in the loft. Will be getting them down on Christmas Eve to go under the tree.

    Morning Chrimbo Flybabys!

Finally starting to feel like I'm gonna be ready for Christmas on time. The worst job IMHO is done - Christmas cards! Just got DH pressies to wrap and the few bits that came from Amazon yesterday. I need to tidy and clean through the house so I'll do that via the Flylady thread. Plus I'd like to do some Christmas baking - mince pies, biscuits, truffles, peppermint creams etc.

    Best wishes, Punky x

Can't put pressies under tree 'cos kitties will destroy them, I'm sure! :(
