Mrs M declaring at £476.32 please can you put me down for £450 for june
    thankyou

gone over this month but hey june is another month and a clean start :)
spent £87 ish already in a!di, t3sco and sainsbobs, hope fully got enough for the week but it is half term which is like having locusts in residence for a week ;)

messed up on the sainsbobs offer 3 lots of meat for £10 , i got a chicken , some chicken breasts and some pork chops , seems the chops wernt in the offer ( yet they were in the same place  ) and so i ended up paying £12.53 instead of £10
on the plus side some wellies DD1 put in for a school trip said £14 , they went through at £7 with 25% off that as well so £5.25 instead of £14 :j
I should have 5 meals with the meat ive got for 5 people . so thats not bad plus a couple of none meat meals , we should be fine this week , I also bought 3 pizzas from a!di for £1.99

    Hi,

I am declaring at £63.72 for May, slightly over but never mind. June will begin tomorrow and I hope will end on 27th June, as we plan to go away from 27th for 16 nights if all goes according to plan. I am trying for £60.00 again as I have some M & S and Farmfood vouchers to use up and plenty of stuff in cupboards and freezer.

My problem is that I do enjoy shopping for food. It's the challenge of finding the bargains but I must really try and forgo any shopping other than what is absolutely necessary. Not that I am hard up, and I don't need to live from hand to mouth, but you never know what is round the corner and I would rather be prepared for any eventuality than crumple in a heap from the outset.

What pessimism! I think I'm really trying to train myself for a pretty frugal retirement if I am honest. I don't mind being poor but I can't abide worrying about money and feeling it's in control of me rather than the other way round.

There are only eight items on my list for tomorrow (cash) and a dine in for £10 (on vouchers) so fingers crossed I can stick to that rather than get waylaid. Well done to all of you who have been so good in May. You must get a real buzz of achievement by keeping within your targets!

Will catch up with the posts later, just popped on to update my figures before I forget.. Had my Sain$bury delivery today, was annoyed about a couple of things they didn't send (like the basics yogurts that I like, can't believe they didn't have any!) an instead of the frozen broccoli on offer for 75p they sent me fresh about a quarter of the amount for £1.56:eek: so rejected that...

Will need a bit more veg and salad stuff but otherwise should be ok now for a week...

hope you are all doing ok

I am declaring an overspend of £20 this month, I could easily have come in under but I decided to stock up a bit when I was in Lidl, also camping this weekend so I had to do an extra shop. Still pleased with my result.

Well done everyone haven't we all done brilliantly this month. My new month starts next Wednesday so I shall stay away from the shops until then, although at the moment there is nothing i need at all over the weekend.I have my friend coming on tuesday to lunch so I am going to be creative in the kitchen over the week-end Today i shall make a lemon drizzle cake which I know she likes I have a lemon in the fridge and may mix it with a little bit of orange to streetch it ourt a bit .I will have a good delve into the freezer and see what I can find in there.I have more than enough fruit and veg for the time being but I think I might make some twinks for the cookie tin and some small cakes as my DGS are on half term this week.
Today I am having sardine salad for dinner tonight I am determined to move my sardine mountain over the next month and one meal a week at least will be sardine based :)
I have quite a bit of pasta in store as well so that will be good instead of meat based meals .I will attempt to use up some of the small unidentifiable wrapped bits at the back of my freezer. Freezer roulette will make for exciting times in my house this coming month I think
Cheers Chums and good luck in June
