Well my budget has well and truely been spent. I am not going over budget so much but am spending too much at the start of each month. I did get sent some tesco money off vouchers so they will come in handy;).

Must do better - its great to be on budget but I want to be shaving money off it. Off to look for meal plan ideas for next month
  • Hi there
Do i post my June spends in here yet (my month starts on 25th so unsure if should wait for new thread? )

    Thanks!

My June month starts from 25th May too!

Just a little moan..... filled car up at MrT £67! its only a VW Golf, when I bought it 5 years ago I could fill Rolf up for about £45!

    Ok back to the June GC;

Spent £17.78 in MrT - my bargains were........

12 x jars of 20p pasta sauce, that should last us for the month!
    3 x 40p naturals washing up liquid (500ml)
    3 x value hair spray (3 for 2) 74p
    Naturals bath cleaner 75p
Cake tin £1.60 (to make lots of fairy cakes to fill up the packed lunches!)
    6 x Warburtons hot dog rolls 25p
Nivea moisturiser with spf - Half price £1.50

Had to go to Dr's - 3 x prescriptions, so glad I buy a 3 month pre paid certificate for mine or it would cost me a fortune! So called into another MrT whilst waiting......

MrT veg mince x 2 £1.99 (buy 1 get 1 free) to use in all that lovely pasta sauce!

Tin of sliced mushrooms 42p - drain and put in a pan with a large spoon of soft cheese, lovely on a jacket potato and very mse!

Cheddar cheese with onion reduced to 88p
    Sausage plaits 29p
    Both whoopsies :)

Saga lout socks for my dad for fathers day £2.50.

Total spend with some other bits £24.84! More than I thought, must start using my calculator.

Just off to update signature and make cakes, have a good day.

Morning all! Had my final shop of the month, stopped by A!di and Morrison$ again. Spent £37.47 in A!di and £13.57 in Mr M. So declaring my total for this month at £193.78! Of course I did have a week away, which is why I'm under budget so much.:D

My June will start on the 1st, so can I be put down for a £230 target again please?:)

    Hello everyone

I have roughly added up and I've come it at about £30 over - not too fussed about that.

MrsM can you put me down for £350 please - half term week and then we are away to St Ives, Cornwall for a week - I'm taking as much as I can with me but there will be lots of visit to the chippy me thinks - well its only for 1 week and its our first family holiday so what the heck!!

Hugs to all those in need

Spiggle - where are you hun, miss your posts

Good luck everyone, may the NSD fairy be with you

Hippeechiq I don't know what the cat problem is but I am guessing it is using your garden as a loo? If I am correct you can put dried chili powder down where it normally does it. As cats are creatures of habit it should work quickly. It did in our garden :D

See HERE hun, post no. 1567. The story is a bit long winded to type up again.

I've covered up the place where it was attempting to go to the loo with empty compost sacks turned inside out, and I have this morning smeared vaseline all along the top of the panel and around the "viewing hole" that the morons next door "created". Maybe I could sprinkle chilli powder onto that? I've read that garlic powder is good too?

ebayqueen it's MrsMcawber that does the GC budget figures, not Mothership hun :)
Speaking on whom.......lovely to see you back Mothership :hello:
I never knew you ran a B&B, I must've missed that somehow. You must've been gutted about the bathroom suite :(
Shell, I do the same at the beginning of every month too, so am going to try and rein myself in a bit in June.
Debtfree You can post them on here until the new thread is up and running :)
Pixie Well done on your bargains & CherryPie well done you on coming in so much under budget :T

It wont be a NSD here as I need milk so I really need to get off here and go and buy it. Really miffed that Te$co have now made it so that to get a 4pinter for £1 you have to buy 3 for £3  I only need 2 and no space in the freezer to freeze a third, so I'll have to go to Icel@nd.

Thanks CherryPie, I enter a lot of comps and have done really wll the last few weeks. Don't post so much on the comps board, but always Thank posters... they do such a fab job (as does everyone here) and I have lots of lovely things I wouldn't otherwise buy myself (I'm more of a saver than a spender!)

On GC front, think it's gonna be another NSD day today so no change to spends. OH will prob want a take out tonight as I haven't taken anything out of the freezer, however I will try to persuade him to have pizza and chips from the freezer instead and save some cash :)

  • Hello Everyone :j

So sorry I haven't been posting, I have been super busy working, decorating and getting things ready for a car boot (fingers crossed for good weather on bank hol mon please).

Well only a couple more days to go and I have about £24 left. This should be more than enough however we have the inlaws coming to stay so we always plan nice meals with pud's which is more expensive and OH is going to do the shopping tomorrow and he always comes back with everything on the list and more beside

The salad leaves are nearly ready in the garden and the cabbage seeds need re-potting, but no flowers on my potato plants yet. The strawberry plants look nice and healthy but something (??) ate the two tomato plants! I am hoping to pick some more up cheap at the car boot.

Hugs to all who need them and good luck to all for the last few days of the May GC xxx
