Get annoyed with parents

Does anyone get really frustrated with their parent/s?
I left home last year for university and go back home every 4/5 weeks, but every time I do, my mum stresses me out.
I'm very laid back and she is the opposite. She constantly complains when the kids play outside in our street or in the garden next door. I just think they're kids, who cares if they're screaming and playing around.
She complained when someone had a BBQ a few doors down as she had to close her back door due to the smell. I think they're having a BBQ, so what, just close the door!
She complains about her sisters who are on the doll, or other family members. I think who cares, it's their life...
She complains when she here's a bang on the wall from next door (they have autistic children who someones bang against the wall).
And we fell out today, as I was in the bank and a man pushed in front in the line. She told me I'm a walk over and started saying stand up for myself etc etc.... Maybe I should have said something, but I really did not care. So what if I have to wait another two minutes to be seen.
She complains about everything and everyone, no matter what they do.
Maybe it's me and I'm just laid back, but it really annoys me! I do love her a lot, but I don't think I could go back to living at home permanently again!

I can guarantee that in twenty years time you'll sound more like your mother than you care to believe!Gone ... or have I?0

I love my mum, but its the same for anyone, after a few days, I feel like I'm a child again, and am dying to get back home.

Most likely.
I just think who cares if the neighbours make a bang now and again, or if someone stinks the street out with a BBQ, or if there's kids playing out the front, or if the niece is on the doll, or if a cousin is pregnant at 18, or if we see random people going into a house down the road quite often and think they're doing something dodgy!
Who cares? Life's too short to worry about little things like that!0 -
Tell your Mum you are a lesbian but fell pregnant after a drunken one night stand and have her really worry about something.......
Only kidding you should tell your Mum to chill out or to take up a hobby as it seems she has too much time on her hands.......0 -

I'm male, so she might be more shocked than originally though...0 -
Ah ..... I 'left home' almost 20 years ago and still get stressed visiting. I love my mum to bits but can only take a few days at a time before I want to come home.
I do find myself coming out with her sayings and 'advice' now though :rotfl:0 -
One thing's for sure, you're not likely to change her now. It's easier to change yourself. You don't have to let her annoy you. Just smile sweetly and think of something else. Yes Mum, No Mum, 3 bags full Mum.
I've got 3 who do it to me, and I'm not HALF as annoying as your mum! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Hahaha...that would be a shocker!!
For the record I'm with you on this one...my Mum behaves in the exact same way that you describe yours...I don't get why she needs to voice her opinion on everything and everyone, she doesn't understand the concept of live and let live, she drives me mad and I have to limit the amount of time I spend with her because of it....and guess what I'm 46!!
If I thought that for just one minute I was turning into her I'd get a gun. I love her really...but just in very small doses!!LBM Aug '07 Debt [STRIKE]£52,615[/STRIKE] DEBT FREE Aug '12 :jCap One CC £[STRIKE]5000[/STRIKE]/£0 - HSBC CC £[STRIKE]7500[/STRIKE]/£0 - HSBC Loan £[STRIKE]12,225[/STRIKE]/£0M&S CC £[STRIKE]11,500[/STRIKE]/£0 - Egg CC £[STRIKE]8750[/STRIKE]/£0 - Sains CC £[STRIKE]3000[/STRIKE]/£0HMRC £[STRIKE]3140[/STRIKE]/£0 - OD £[STRIKE]1500[/STRIKE]/£0Pay off ALL your debt by Xmas 2012 £14,128/£14,128 :j0 -
