I would suggest lots of walking for easy exercise to start with Hadley. That's what I do and then if I am feeling energetic I do a dvd too.
Hope everyone has a great weekend0 -
I'm trying to go for a brisk 45 minute walk every lunchtime, I knackered my knee years ago so I find walking, cycling and swimming are great for me.
If I'm feeling energetic i get the Wii exercise games out and give the H2B a laugh as he watches me jump around the living roomWhen you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle.

Hi everyone, i feel like i've been completely ignorant since i introduced myself on here but I seem to have picked up every pigging virus doing the rounds this last week and a half.
Currently i have tonsillitus, great for the kids who can't hear mummy and great for the diet as nothing more than 3 cans of soup have passed my lips in the last 4 days.
8lbs in 7 days is a huge amount but I'm worried that once i start eating properly again I'll put it back on plus more.
Anyone got any tips to stop this from happening? I feel like a crazy anorexic at the mo and i don't want to get panicky about eating cos that's just being stupid.
Sorry but I've not felt well enough to go thru what I've missed yet but well done to those who've lost. I will catch up in a few days once the antibiotics have kicked in.
But.... woohoo 8lbs!!!0 -
Soory for the late update - been a very busy weekend
Anyway - the satuirday morning weigh in surprised me again, as i only went to one of my exercise classes and was eating out a few times (incluiding a KFC....)
2lb off this week - current total loss 10lb! I'm so pleased with myself, can't wait to get it to a stone!
The thing is I'm not watching what i eat or what i do as much anymore, its more natural now. I still have a bit of chocolate at weekends, alcohol at the weekend too.
so all in all, it s good, just hope i can keep at it!Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -

On a bright note I have been speaking to my colleague who is going to be doing my invites - but can't think of any exciting way of getting the apples and pears theme on them. Any ideas welcome. .. umm am sat looking at an apple and a pear now.:rotfl:
How about a tree with apples and pears on it: http://www.minted.com/design-rating/1800 something like this but with your theme fruit on it or perhaps falling off the tree?

Well done - I am reading Paul McKenna's book at the moment and I am hoping to change my relationship with food and like you not watch everything i eat and just behave more natural yet controlled. This is for life after all not just my wedding day. All though that is my huge incentive :rotfl:
Anybody read it? I understand the principal and it reads like common sense but putting in to practice is more difficult.0 -
I haven't read the book, but I heard about it when he was on the radio talking to Chris Moyles.
What I realised was that I was eating out of habit rather than hunger, so I always ate my lunch at 12:30 as that is dinnertime at work, even if I had had a bacon butty at half 10 and was still full. Sometimes someone has to tell you the obvious for it to sink in I suppose, at least that is the case with me.
So now I eat when i'm hungry and not when I want to eat because of stress or boredom or habit - doesn't mean i always eat the right things thoughWhen you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle.

I've lost 1lb this week
Not enough I wanted more, must do more exercise this week0 -
I had another bad weekend diet-wise
I need to stop this thing where I lose a pound or so in the week and then gain it back at the weekend!
Got lots of fruit and veg in and healthy meals planned this week. I am going to exercise every day this week - 15 mins one day and 30 mins the next day. That should be do-able.
Would really like to see a loss this week and then see it stay off!!!0
