Sounds lovely Jo. Is he enjoying his tc?

I am going to finnish my baking before we go to my godparents 2mo. My brother and his gf are staying at ours tonight before we go so that will be nice.

Last night I made chocolate flapjacks and chocolate biscuit sandwiches. Thinking of doing jam tarts tonight (never done them before but fancy giving it a go haha)

Yeah, he hasn't been back to late which is nice, usually back by 7.30. Apparently one of his fellow joiners has had a 3 AM already!! they are a bit quite atm, so he is being eased into it with pro bono work.

Mmm chocolate flapjacks! Haven't had those (homemade) since I lived at home!

That's good that he isn't too late and is being eased in.

Heehee they are yummy. But I managed to resist. Gave on to OH to test.

I love baking and have LOADS of books but I am trying not to do too much as then I just eat it all haha.

Thanks for the tips guys. Lots of people have said that about exercise - I'd certainly be happy if I toned up even if I wasn't nexcessarily losing the lbs straight away. Though have to say I have such a sore tummy from AF that exercise is the last thing on my mind at the mo.

Have been good and eaten my fruit instead of going for the biscuits - which even I am now craving :( Want to go home and curl up in the warm, eat crisps and watch day time telly. Instead have got to sit here and write a very boring report about a fishing lake.

On a bright note I have been speaking to my colleague who is going to be doing my invites - but can't think of any exciting way of getting the apples and pears theme on them. Any ideas welcome. .. umm am sat looking at an apple and a pear now.:rotfl:

poor you Hadley I know how you feel. I never want to exercise when AF is around. It is meant to help though if you can face it.

Hhhhmmm you could maybe make them apple and pear shaped? Sorry I am not very good at thinking of creative things.

Just had my left over spag bol lunch. yummy.

I don't know... Other than having an apple and pear picture on them as a motif?

Going to the gym always feels like the worse idea when AF is due. I try to force myself to go knowing that I will better after etc, but I still only get there half the time!

someone told me that muscle makes you burn calories faster than fat for the same weight of person.

I don't know if it's true or if they were just trying to make me feel better

had a great ride out on the mountain bike and got covered in mud, so all cleaned up and off out again to tackle some long overdue gardening.

It's true. For every extra lb of muscle, your body burns an extra 30-35 calories at rest apparently.

Oh how interesting... I'll have to get some muscles :rotfl:

Any ideas for gentle exercise I can start with?? I have a kettlebell and an DVD which I have done a few times. Nearly killed me off. :rotfl:
