Flitting through quickly before taking DD to her boyfirend's.

Lovely sunshine here, but a chilly wind. I was feeling stressed, so have spent as much time as possible on the allotment. Feel better - except for my back!

Only flying has been dailies and the usual couple of loads of washing.

greenbee - have a good trip! Where are you off to this time? (Have you packed??:p)

    - my DS2 is 17 mid June, as we're doing the same! He's getting his provisional, and we pay for driving lessons.

msgnomey - sorry to hear your news, have a virtual hug.

:hello:dustykitten and hex2, sexymouse and AnW's mum too, if you're around

Love and hugs, especially to toots, lady-liberty and lamewolf

MSG~ thoughts to you and your family.

Greenbee~ it might be an idea to invest for home use in a scanner / printer, then you can scan all your recipets etc, load the glass plate with as many that will fit, and them you have a scan should they go missing again. (my office scanner / printer was from what I can remember about £90.)

Washing in folded and put away
    One basket of ironing
Mountsockmore left for OH to sort

Hi serena. Sorry to hear your back is bad and you're stressed. Take it easy and have a nice warm bath or shower and sit down with a cup of tea and a good book.
Sorry to hear your news msgnomey - well done for looking out for your OH so well.
Love and hugs to LadyL - please let me know if you need any help moving etc. At the moment I've only got a booking on Wednesday afternoon, so I'm around if you need me.

Only flying here today has been food shopping, as feeling really flat - have postweddingblues now everything is all over, so I've been moping and feeling sorry for myself. *tells herself to pull herself together - there are people on here who have genuine things to be down about*

Moon is watching DrWho, so I've just downloaded myself a game to play whilst it's on, and then I guess I'll make a start on dinner.

Looking forward to going to my Zumba class tomorrow - will be good to get back into the routine of exercising, as I've been very lazy this holiday, and all of the wedding cake probably hasn't done me any favours.

Hugs for all who need or want them,

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Hello ladies :)

Just a quick one. Hope you are all ok, I haven't had a chance to read this thread yet! (I was in hospital with DS3, but we are home now :) ) The house isn't too bad (ish). DH was off with DS1 and DS2 and managed to keep things under control and do a bit of painting/DIY too.

I am doing DS3's IV antibiotics at home. He has a permanent central line fitted, so no probs with veins. The first one is at 6am, the last at 10pm, with a couple inbetween. Not too bad, and much better than being in hospital. I love my own bed and my own food!! :D And I missed my family, obviously!

So, I am back to it after the weekend. This week was a bit manic, but I knew that it would be. Last week was a good week, and I only managed that with the help of this thread and you lovely ladies.

I managed to sort out my medicines cupboard and fridge today. Re-organised everything and got rid of some out of date stuff, so I have lots more room. Other than that, I'm enjoying the long weekend and I hope you are too. (I'll try to catch up now..)

Oslo (2 days, Tues will be free time in lieu of travel), Stockholm (1 day), Frankfurt (coming back Saturday afternoon, so again, some time to see the place...) And no... I haven't packed... there is no space as most of my clothes are still living on the spare bed.

Once the paperwork has gone through so that I am officially designated as a homeworker, I will then be putting in for a new printer/scanner (mind you, they take up far too much space!) and a monitor. Which reminds me... I must start submitting expenses for broadband costs...

Paperwork posted... trying to think of other reasons to put off the planting... might just do the easy stuff today, and the difficult stuff once I've been to the tip tomorrow, so I can do some weeding at the same time (why did I send both my hoes back to my parents? I've now realised they'd be very handy...)

    laundry - 1 out, 1 in WM, 3 waiting
    DW - needs emptying
    homework with DS2
    school work
    [STRIKE]shopping in town (need a list because there's a lot to remember - DS1 will be 17 next Thu)[/STRIKE]
post letter to bank - DH will do this on his way out tonight
    [STRIKE]plan[/STRIKE] and cook tea
maybe clean LR window and front door (NN had house sandblasted the day after the window cleaner had been )
phone SIL to change arrangements for birthday meal
order provisional licence for DS1

DS1 and I had an ok time in town. Haircuts done (my fringe needed a trim), food shopping done, got cards and a book for DS1, I found leggings to go with my new top (£8 - I know they won't last as long as the ones I saw yesterday, but they were 3 times as much!) and a good quality 9 tog king size duvet for £10. :j
No nice bedding in the right size at TK Maxx this time, but I'll keep looking. I had a nosy at a set with a thread count of 700, though - I know what you and Soappie mean, now, Hex. :D

I've just had a cuppa and tea is next - then I may decide to tackle some filing. DS1 will have a fair bit of stuff to burn, as my shredder isn't up to the job and I bought an incinerator (think that's what those metal buckets are called) which he likes to 'play' with.

    Evenin' all *bends knees*:D

Msgnomey so sorry to hear about OH's Nan.

Sexymouse it's a bit of an anticlimax after a wedding, isn't it? You've spent all that time and energy preparing, and once it's done, it's hard to get back to "normal". Have you something in the near future to look forward to? I try to always have something; it helps when I'm having a bad day.;)

Maxonian oh, poor little pudd'n-cat; that's uncomfortable, I know from experience!

Loads of shredding of ancient (well, over 7 years old) documents, and we're still not at the end of the pile yet. We have to do it in batches, to prevent the shredder from overheating. At the moment, we're on our 4th binbag full!

We also went out to Campbell Park this afternoon and had a picnic, followed by an hour's trundle along by the canal.

Off to do a spot more shredding now.....
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

greenbee for goodness sake - can you afford to throw away £5000 - I know most people couldn't - dont be so lazy and do something about it.
