    Morning All

Washing on the line and next load in the WM. I'm going to have a bath now -which I never ended up doing yesterday - and then see what happens later.

    congrats seafarers wife!

Mrs Chaos - re bedding - I only ever buy 100% cotton bedding - the polycotton most cheaper stuff is made of is usually fairly thin and scratchy. Dunelm Mill do some sets that aren't ruinous prices, but the nicest stuff I had was in the sale from Laura Ashley....mmmmmmm

Did 2 hours in the garden yesterday - path is now 75% cleared and 3 huge dead fuschia bushes have been decapitated - getting there slowly - the veggie bed is sprouting too!!!!! yay!!!!! Have fed the fruit trees, strawbs and veggie babies - any idea how often I should do it??? I've got the miracle-gro organic veggie feed and it uses quite a few capfuls per bucket so used about a quarter of the bottle last night! it smells of marmite too........

need to go to garden centre to get some peat-free compost me thinks to get the tomatoes started and tubs sorted.

Morning all, I am dressed and the first losd of washing is on but that is all so far for today.

I cleaned a small carpet last night to try out my new vax machine and I am hooked (for the moment anyway) also tried it on a stain on the lounge carpet and the difference is something to behold. Now nee to source cheaper cleaning solution - have some amazon vouchers so will probably try there.

On the subject of bedding - If you have a Christy outlet shop - we have them in York and Leeds - you can get some good deals there. I have a superking bed so not many shops sell stuff for it. The last set I bought cost £20 for quilt cover and pillowcases but I don't remember how much I paid for the bottom sheets as it is years since I bought one.

Mrs Chaos egyptian cotton is the very best and usually the most expensive the thread count in them is the highest, if you want luxury they are the ones to look for, I expect they probably outlast the others, but I do hope you like ironing sheets :rotfl:

Greenhouse now complete and trays of seedlings all lined up round the edges, must do more planting today. DH has promised to level the veg patch sort out a proper path :T

    today
    plant seeds
    load WM
    bake bread
    finish new pond
 try to get more paint off rocking chair

Mrs Chaos - soappie converted me to high count egyptian cotton a few years ago. My first set was 200, and the current ones are 400 count, something to do with the number of threads over a certain area - I think Soappies are 800. TK Maxx regularly have them at reasonable prices - current set was about £20 and fitted double sheets were a two pack for £10. My local shop is a few doors down from Dunelm so I could compare softness and price in my usual indecisive style. Also worth looking out at sale time in the big deaprtment stores.

Lots to do but George, Don't Do That is snoring peacefully on my knee and smallest boy is snuggling. I need a cup of tea though :o

Cricket stuff on the line (yes I went out in my dressing gown too). Next load in WM but hopefully I'll be dressed before that load goes out. Bit of a lazy start but I feel I have had a really productive week and if someone called today unannounced I could invite them in without cringing.
Make £10 per day in July £45.48/£310
    June £232.66, May £310.36, April £310.19, March £287.32, February £250.18, January £257.24

high count Egyptian cotton is my fave too - I am gradually getting rid of my Polycotton duvets.... but my sheets have been 100% cotton for years.....

They are SO comfy, but a bit of a b****r to iron!
