    Congrats Seafarers

OHs dad is still with us at the mo. We went to visit earlier, they have withdrawn all drips but the oxygen is still there for now. It is so distressing to watch as every now and then he really struggles with his breath and then needs to clear his throat then it all goes quiet and we watch to see if he is still breathing. We talked to him about the wedding and the fly past as he used to be in the RAF. We know we can hear us still as he managed to grunt a yes a couple of times. His brother was coming up anyway today and should have seen him by now which is good. It is like he is hanging on for something, he definately won't go without a fight. He is due to be a great-grandfather for the first time this weekend so it would be nice for him to hear of that. Anyway thanks for the wishes, he may be here for sometime yet.

Has he been given permission to go? Alot wait until someone tells them whenever they need to and feel ready they can go. Many hang on until the relatives have all left too so they are alone.

At least he is still understanding what is said to him and can respond albeit minimal amount.

Wedding watched, shower scrubbed, bathroom floor decluttered and stuff cleaned, garden gardened a bit, two loads in WM and dried on line (not ironing most of it), all fed healthy tea, dd and ds scrubbed clean, car emptied and porch tidied up = I am having a very good day.
Seem to be able to get through loads of stuff when dh is away!:p

Not sure but I know what you mean. I think OH understood what I was doing as we left, I said "enjoy your sleep and take care" and kissed him. Before my grandad died I did a visualisation imagining him in his bed and talked to him letting him know I would look after my nan and everything would be ok. I fell asleep the first time I tried as everyone was around me, I woke up the following morning panicking that I was too late (I nearly was). I did it again this time it was really hazy but I managed to get him alone. He died seconds later! I didn't go in to see him last night but did today so I could see the layout of the room to try tonight. Sorry if any of that freaked anyone out.

No one is talking about the problems in front of him on the advice of the nurses, all I want to do is let him know he is free to go and be with his wife who he has spoken about so much over the last month.

Pretty much that.. he needs to know everyone will survive without him!
