Ichy_Mum I hope you have a beautiful day today
Seafarers Congratulations to both of you
:wave:Fizz Flylady has help me gain control over my house (although I am still hoarding a lot of clothes that I dont fit into or wear in my wardrobe:o but I am taking babysteps to deal with this)
I didnt see the Royal wedding as DD is watching The only way is essex and DS is shooting zombie on the other TV. So I have given the house a once over and 3XWM loads are on the line and I have decluttered a sleep this afternoon."Let your boat of life be light, pack only what you need- A homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends worth the name, someone to love and someone who loves you, a cat, a dog, a pipe or two enough to eat, enough to wear and a little more than enough to drink, as thirst is a dangerous thing" Jerome k. LOL at my son...
'why is Charles hanging about with the Queen?'
'Because the Queen is his mum!'
'Is she?'
He's just got up BTW. DD is STILL asleep!
Fizz - these are the mules you will get thrown at you...

Hi everyone.
Id like to join! My house has been getting me down for a while now, and like someone on one of your earlier threads has said before, I tend to think and stress about the clutter and cleaning rather than doing it!
My OH and I work full time and cook everything from scratch, dont have a DW etc, so when we get home from work, it feels like we make tea, wash up and clean up the kitchen, and then its time for bed! I do get the basics in my house done each week to keep things clean; OH cleans the bathroom, i do WM, TD, hoover and wash bathroom/kitchen floors, but have neglected a lot of things and the 2 spare bedrooms have become a dumping ground! eeeek.
I really do feel that a clean organised home/life and mind, is a happy mind! So really need to get back on track, just following you guys will spur me on I think.
I have been in pjs all day.Not moved from the sofa since 8AM watching the Royal Weding, except to nip to loo and make a brew! Just to confirm, this is not a regular occurence, but I do need to get myself ready now. Im starting off today by starting on the smallest spare room which is actuually the worst as it has the computer desk in there, a mini library going on,paperwork all over and my sewing desk, which is completey unused due to the clutter, its been over taken by ebay items which still need putting on and getting rid of.
Actually looking forward to tackling at long last!0 -
Trying to decide if it is worth jamming a toothbrush in mine to see if it will get OH to hoover:rotfl:My dyson isn't terminal - there was a toothbrush jammed in it somewhere:D
OH sorted it and hoovered the study to check it was working, one less job for me then.Make £10 per day in July £45.48/£310

Well I have well and truely fell off the wagon and my house looks like it as well!
I'm going to try and do this weeks list but I'm not promising anything. I have loads of work to do before I even think about housework (other than washing - I'm making the most of the dry weather!) so I should really get a move on with that
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Grouting in bathroom now heading back towards white. (Previously orange from limescale and some black mould).
Can I ask what you used to get it white again? My tile grout is starting to look a bit pinky/orange after a shower - not really noticable when dry but I want to clean it - tried using stardrops but that doesn't do anything.
Many thanks
PS No flying except dailies today sat on sofa all morning watching wedding - gorgeous dress, dissappointed by no red arrows for flypast though my DS was gutted - loves the red arrows. Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

Someone made the rather splendid suggestion of an old electric toothbrush the other day -perfect for me and my dodgy hands.
Juliejim - our bedroom is the same, and OH has put tools all over it as well now. The human dustbin has moved back to his mothers so the storecupboard is moving back down to the kitchen today, after which I should be able to get tidy in our room at least.
The playroom looks worse than when they started. Me and my black bags will be joining in soon.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
