Sat down to have some lunch and a catch-up - hope I get up and get going again as I have been going great guns this morning.
Going to turn around some more laundry and then put away all the ironing (that was done on Sunday!!!!)
Then I will see if I can persuade DS1 to move some soil for me into our new raised beds as the leeks and stuff should really be going out this weekend.
I'm going to text my mate and see if her son is interested in doing some stuff for me - like painting the fence panels and moving some soil. Gonna get this place ship shape see if I don't.
Got Primo cabages poking their little heads out this afternoon - little things please me.

Afternoon all! Sun is trying to peek through here but currently seems to be failing. Come on sun, must try harder!
I had a thought (yes, me too!) earlier on- I have a note on my "stuff to do" list that we need to re-evaluate whether there is anywhere we can trim expenditure again, and one thing I do want to do is to get a grip on grocery spending properly again. I'm considering putting together a spreadsheet with a line for everything we buy, and space to put in the cheapest place to buy it. It can be a WIP project, but I was wondering if anyone else had done anything similar, and if so, whether they found it sustainable, or just too much hassle to keep updating?

Carpet found and ordered - great deal on Ebay so a lovely wool berber at £6.50 per sqm. They boys will be banned from my new room with ANYTHING that stains - LOL
Next on the shopping list is "internals" for a fitted wardrobe - wonder what they will be under on ebay???
Keeping a beady eye on that huge black cloud heading my way - cos my washing is nearly dry. - stay away!!! stay away!!!
One last pass of my bedroom and it will be nearly back to "Hotel Standard" - I wish!!!!!
Oh!!! and I've got cleaner on my sink that needs to come off soon - getting all the grot off.
Have roughly Mind Mapped the St A Uni presentation - so will get that on the wire soon.
Haven't heard back from the school - but don't expect to until after school today TBH.
So I'm going to throw the kettle on and cook some beans for tonights dinner - quick tea tonight as DS1 has got chanter practice.
And I've just had a text from my two guys in London - so will get to gossip with them soon.
Whew!!!! and i'm thinking that what I want to do is have a "school report" for my finances - a weekly report that enables me to keep an eagle eye on everything without getting sucked into the "nickle and diming" IYSWIM.
First - as I said - Coffee!!!!

Just a brief pop in to tell you all: Evidence for all of the previously written sections has been tracked down, printed off and filed with the appropriate written section. Not really in order yet, but at least all the bits of paper are associated with the right sections!
Second section of the day is still being drafted, but my writing isn't going so well after lunch. After this quick rest, I am going to try and attack the workplace log thing, and then go back to the writing later on. At least, that is the plan!!
Today is going really well, but I know I am going to need more than two other days that I have blocked out in my diary. I might block out half days in future though... a whole day just on this is really demotivating!

You're doing well crickett
I think the half day idea is probably a good one though... makes the task more manageable.0 -
Afternoon All,
After having the success with regards to having a new kitchen yesterday, an hour later I have a phone call from another surveyor - they are going to replace my storage heaters as well:j:j:j
Don't know yet when these monumental events are happening but they will happen at the same time. I am now quite excited and scared at the same time. Scared because the entire downstairs of my house will be ripped out (am not good with change), I'm concerned as to what style kitchen I get to choose as I just don't do sleek and modern, I'm a shabby chic, shaker girl.I have this awful panic theat I'll have this spanky kitchen and it just won't be me - I spend most ofmy time in there:eek:
Off to do more plans in a bit and maybe a bit in the garden.
Stop panicking and wait until the planner has been.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942
