Great links MG and Alison - YUM to no direction I bet all the girls love their teachers, and the one on the left can really move too!

Right I had an 18 hour day yesterday so although I am working today I have decided to have a late start.

Completely agree about the positive language. I have always had the attititude and the mantra "I have more than enough for my needs" and that has gotten me by. I have to confess though that since I started reading the debt free diaries (no offence ladies) my attitude did change and I constantly worry about money even when I actually have no need because I am meeting the bills and have enough to have a life (ok so not a life filled with carribean holidays, new clothes etc) but a very enjoyable life. This is something that has come to me after reading the Secret and this thread. So I have cut down on what I read about around the boards and try to only focus on the ones that I get good ideas and cheeriness from (you know who you are ladies).

In a postive speaking mood I am now going to go to my little office and blitz my to do list in 4 hours because that is all I am prepared to spend on my working day today.

Thanks for the inspirations memory girl and matrixers. I think I too will start focusing on the positive and what I have, and stop worrying about lack of money so much. Memory Girl, didn't your DS1 once draw an image of a 'bun dance' on your wall? Think I might steal that idea for our new blackboard wall, lots of little buns dancing around and money flowing freely towards our family!

I've been a lurker on here for quite some time and have always been inspired by the love and positivity that bounces backwards and forwards. A bit about me, after seven difficult years of trying for a baby we are now blessed with a gorgeous seven month old bundle of joy in our lives. A lot got put on hold during these years and life was sometimes a struggle but I am now inspired to make my little families life the best it can be. It's not hard to for me to feel positive now but I hope you don't mind if I join you now and then to pick up on your tips and inspiration? I'm not only looking after BBB (Beautiful Baby Boy) but we're also renovating our house and I'm trying to find the time to get work done and come up with some money making ideas!

Memory Girl can I ask what your
    Less than a quid CHALLENGE 1/4/11 100 /£99.87 (83p pp p/d)

Best wishes to you all :T

Another thought on positive thoughts. Again I hope that I dont offend anybody! I really dont get the DH, DS, DD tags. Why do you have to call each other Debt anything? I have point blank refused to use that tag and I just had a lightbulb moment and realised that it is because it really irritates me that people focus on that all of the time.

Sorry - slinks back to work but had to get that off my chest!!!

The Challenge started as a £100 challenge - to see how log I could make £100 last for grocery shopping. So basing meals on stuff from stores and only buying what was needed.

..................... but I still have loads of storecupboard food (thanks to Approved Foods and BOGOF's etc) so we needed to extend our challenge.

So Part 2 ended up being the "Less than a quid challenge" - where I will see how far through the year I can get on my stores and spending less than a quid per day per person on food.

Extra pennies will be diverted to my Freedom Fund and DS1's Education fund for his homeschooling year.

PS Congrats on the BBB BTW:D

Yeah, me too! I never thought the D was debt - I thought it was Darling, or Delightful, or Dastardly, or Devilish, which ever was the most appropriate for the person in question :)

I was under the impression it meant Dear, so dear husband, dear daughter etc. I can't imagine calling my hubby debt husband! He only spends £10 a week when he pays his subs at football, has 2 cokes in the pub afterwards and gets some good coffee for work! He's a real tropper when it comes to money.

Moving tomorrow, having some glitches, nothing major. Must get on with work... (I just need to find time to sort out gas, electricity, TV licence, water, broadband... HELP!!)

Maru, good luck with the move and I wish you hapiness and success there.

As to the arrangements - get your grogs in line and get going; only the first one is bad.

And thanks again for your help - will be going up on the blog today or tomorrow.
