Now I have to raise 300 credit notes, and do a bodge journal. And then I have to find someone who's allowed to sign off a journal for nearly £1m!
GROWL!
Along with that and all the other stuff I have to do before draft 1 is run at 4pm! F***!
Oh for flips sake, no wonder you feel :mad::mad::mad::mad:, what does your boss say about this?Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

My boss is not a finance person, so she has no idea what difference it makes, or the hard work it causes! Bless her cottons!
I think I am going to get a coffee, a big fat frothy one. I deserve it.
I have found a victim to do my credit notes at least. The receptionist was looking very relaxed when I went out for a rant0 -
<spreads calming vibes>
Had giant filling, and now feeling particularly sorry for myself, can't even have a cuppa cos it'll all come drooling out of the side of my mouth:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Ah well, only thing is to get on with some work I suppose!0 -
Hey everyone, hope you're all okay and thanks for all the advice you lot give me. Today I bought some walking shoes for when I start dog walking! If that doesn't work out so well then I can use them for walks on my own. Actually, I might do that too since I do need to get fit. I walked around town for 3 hours this morning trying to decide what shoes I want...my feet now hate me! I have one pair of boots and they only go with my leggings which is all I wear and they're pretty uncomfortable after walking around for a few hours... Now I have to hobble around doing some housework which will be fun. Not.Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0

Someone wants to swap with one of my books! Big probelm though, there's nothing I really want from them...they have all the kinds of books I really don't like (horror, sci fi, James Bond books...) so what do I do? Swap for one I don't really want then put it back on the site to swap for something I do want? Or do I just decline the offer?Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0

Hello, I really want to be in on the August Decluttering and the September budget challenge. I am sitting in my tip of a room and don't know where to start. I am off on holiday tomorrow so won't be around till the 12 th but promise to catch up!
take care folks and thanks for yesterday xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
August decluttering for meeee tooooo as part of Operation Downsize
.... having just about recovered from the massive declutter in the house before it went on t'market, I now need to tackle the garage - it had a mini-blitz then but needs an industrial strength declutter ... after all, I may not have a garage when I move.
So, the plan is do garage, create empty space, decant 'keepers' from shed to garage, then demolish ancient and crumbling shed.... it isn't listed in the particulars, it's not an asset it's so rotten (door hanging by one hinge, large hole in far corner, crumbling boards all round the bottom, all because of the damp) that putting it out of its misery will be a kindness. At approx 36 years old, it's done!
I now have a Plan B supposing funding for my job isn't renewed. In true Matrix style it involves setting up my own small business, one I think I would have a lot of fun with. Current job is secure till end of March next year, funding for my post is applied for year to year so it has never been taken for granted. But at least knowing what I would like to do and that it's achievable and I would enjoy it, gives me plenty to think about and also enjoy some market research in the meantime (it involves food :j), even if I never need to put Plan B into action.
I also made a major decision this week about my appearance. Hair and despair quite rightly rhyme: 4 years of chemo-type medication have done their worst and so it's time for a little artifice - a blonde and gorgeous wig. I have a final fitting next Thursday (should have done this in Year 1 but I wasn't well enough). Oh the huge uplift when I looked in the salon mirror and saw a decent head of hair and a lovely style that really suits me! Not cheap but worth every single penny. Less than the cost of a pair of designer specs. And every bit as good for my morale. Best of all - no VAT because for health reasons. Instant 20% off! (Not available on the NHS according to my GP, as hair loss not total). Still, I'm happy to pay for the undoubted benefits. I'll never have a bad hair day again:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Firewalker wrote: »Crafty, ten books to read is one thing, this is fun (sad world I live in). Ten books with stickers from which you have to make something else is another - now this is overwhelming in my world as well.
How about some chunking? Keep one book next to you at any time and get out what you need (write it and don't agonise over the quality; there is time for that). You will soon find that ten books are down to a number of pages and this is easier to deal with.
Good luck.

Notes transferred to 'puter. Half the books filleted and put to one side - progress is being made.0 -
Enjoy your hols Buffy.
Well done Crafty.
Fantastic news about your new head of hair GroatieQueen - go you :T
Well this afternoon's list completed plus a trip to B&Q. I now have paint for the garage wall plus secateurs (sp??) to tackle next doors conifers that are taking over our front garden. I think the secateurs plus a hacksaw will regain about half our garden space .0 -
I've got one of those scone mixes from approved foods, unopened, once you figure it out let me know please.
Here you go
1/3 rd cup of mix with 1 tbsp plus 1/2 tsp of water makes one scone.
But would you ever make just one scone???
Scribble it on the outside of the packet like I've done and then we can have "afternoon tea" whenever we fancy
