I spent hours on Tuesday raising 300 fee invoices that someone else had forgotten before she went on holiday. All my boss had to do was approve them - click on f***ing button by 4pm yesterday. Did she? Did she f***!

Now I have to raise 300 credit notes, and do a bodge journal. And then I have to find someone who's allowed to sign off a journal for nearly £1m!

    GROWL!

Along with that and all the other stuff I have to do before draft 1 is run at 4pm! F***!

:eek::eek: so glad I am not involved this year - but so sad that I feel your pain and I'm not even an Accountant.

BTW did once journal 3p ;)

And once reclaimed 6p overpaid expenses the next month from one of the field agents - even the boss thought that was tight:rotfl:

    I think I survived!

I am home. I have all my hair, I have counted all my fingers, and I think I am even verging on sane!!!

Back for a bit of tidying up on Monday, but it's over for another 52 weeks!

    I deserve a holiday, I think I will have w/c 8th August off :D

Hello all... have had a fantastic day today. Had a slap up breakfast at a lovely cafe in Nottingham this morning and then we went shopping. I am afraid this is definitely not money saving, but I spent a lot of money in Lakeland - i have justified this to myself because I bought a Christmas present and things we can use! And then I went to Superdrug and bought some new nail varnish. As I walked up the road... I saw that my closest branch of Evans is shutting. I was a little upset, because it is one of the only places i can buy clothes that fit me. But then I thought... ooh, bargains...! And went in and purchased a lovely dress, a skirt and lots and lots pairs of knickers. My knicker drawer was looking decidedly tired, so I am happy with that. And then, on top of that, I went into another shop which sells clothes in my size and I got lots of lovely things in the sale. Very satisfying. Then i had my counselling session, which was very productive again... and then hubby and I went for a wander around Ikea. We have decided on the kitchen for our new house, and we found a lovely set of bedding and an enamel vase for flowers. And then we came home for a well deserved rest!

And I have just given myself a manicure. I am not the world's best nail varnish applier... in fact it took me 3 attempts to make my nails look half decent. But I feel a million dollars and soooo much better. Tomorrow we are having a "do what the hell you want" day, which I am also looking forward to. My plan is to bake some luscious blueberry muffins for breakfast, then I am going to potter about in the garden and get it looking really smart. I think I am going to have to go to a garden centre for some bits (oh shucks! :D) and then I am going either sit in the garden and do some cross stitch, or I am going to read. Or both.

Oh, and the house next door that has been on the market for ages appears to have sold, or at least there is a lorry outside that looks like a moving van. This hopefully means that people will come and look at ours now. :D

I hope you have all had as good a day as I have. And TMIF... stand by for next week, because I am going to be at the end of my tether by about 9am on Monday morning!! I'll meet you in the corner with a bottle of voddie and a straw! :D

Sounds like you had a cracker of a day.

All I did was wear out little toddlers - we went to the play park and 7 of the playgroup Mums turned up over the course of the afternoon - so about 13 kids in all.

WE had been to the library before grabbing our picnics and had DS2's little 1 m2 tent - so the kids had a ball - they played tents, played on the play equipment and had 3 stories all in one afternoon ............ I just pretended I was Floella Benjamin :rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl: Then the grown-ups had a good natter about everything under the sun.

DS2 managed to eat a bowl of pasta salad and is now quietly snoring on the sofa .................... going to have to be a carry him through to bed night I think.

............... but I could do with a sip of your straw right now crickett

Why is it when I am not the one actually making papier mache that I am the one who ends up plastered in the "glue"? Kids were relatively spotless.....me splattered all over my clean-on-today jeans <sigh>

Same reason I am still finding Drag Queen glitter in my knicker drawers after all these years ................... didn't wear it - but still find it.

GQ that wig sounds amazing. I used to work with a woman whose hair was always gorgeous. She came in one day, new colour, new style and I raved about it all day. I then asked her where she got it done because I wanted to book with them. She said that it was a lady who came to her house but she didnt take appointments:question:
Later that day the girl that sat next to me pulled me to one side and asked if I had ever noticed that X didnt have any eyebrows but they were painted on? I had but put it down to overplucking. Turns out she had alopecia and her hair was a wig. Well I loved it anyway and I decided that if her hair looked that fab then I wanted a wig too.

Crickett, good for you on treating yourself. Especially as the clothes were in the sale because you wont be getting that much use out of them at the sizing if you meet your target for that birthday.

    Anybody heard from Greenbee?

Had a lovely day. Mr C's birthday so we had a lovely leisurely breakfast opening pressies and cards Moo helped. Then he went to work and I met him for lunch and took him to the Arts Centre. I then spent an hour sitting on the prom with my book and some dandelion and burdock! Then the best bit was a treasure hunt in the forest for clues to his pressies, for every clue he found he gets a pressie. We just polished off a home made curry and now I am going to present all the pressies linked to the clues that he found while drinking red wine and then we are going to watch a German Film to practice our German. Who says that you cant have an MSE birthday?

    I'm back :D

Thanks for all the good wishes. No answers yet but everyone was fantastic. The two consultants are talking to their colleagues and I should have some treatment next week. They're working hard to find a medical rather than surgical solution which is great. And the anaesthetists now know why I need to be kept hydrated.... By the time the nurses were told to give me fluids the nurse couldn't get a needle in, and the anaesthetist had to have three goes which he was a bit embarrassed about! So I have three more bruises to join the two from earlier this week and feel like a pincushion!

Hoping for sun tomorrow so I can sleep outside most of the day.

Need to start an online waitrose order and then get some sleep before my mother comes in to nag me about being awake!

    Have a great weekend everyone.

I notice sunflower has been very quiet....

Hey Greenbee, welcome home. Glad you are ok (ish) despite being pricked and prodded. Sleep well (Mothers are not worth arguing with)
