Success of the morning
Last time I did and Approved Food order I got a 3.5kg bag of muffin mix:
http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/baking_ingredients/plain_muffin_mix_3500g
The mix makes 75 muffins according to the back of the bag which works out at less than 3p each. I know I can make muffins from scratch - but you always end up having to make "full egg mix" when means there are always too many left lying around to be snacked on by me )
Basic vanilla muffin that you can jazz up with whatever is lurking.
Measured out this morning that each muffin is 1/3 cup mixture and 28ml of water. Quick mix and into a paper case in a ramekin then into the halogen oven for 20 minutes.
Verdict from the boys - YUM!!!! As good as cafe ones but fresher
So I now have 72 muffins left to make for school lunches - 2 boys at say 2 muffins a week for 18 weeks ........................ and no more expenditure :j
Which by my reckonning keeps them in treats till the end of January. Now to figure out the scone mix:D

Aaaarrrggghhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crafty, ten books to read is one thing, this is fun (sad world I live in). Ten books with stickers from which you have to make something else is another - now this is overwhelming in my world as well.
How about some chunking? Keep one book next to you at any time and get out what you need (write it and don't agonise over the quality; there is time for that). You will soon find that ten books are down to a number of pages and this is easier to deal with.
Good luck.

Okay reporting in - 4 large shelves glossed and.... helped Mr Thrifty to board up the broken garage windows at the bottom of our garden :T:T. That means I can crack on with painting the wall so that the end of our garden will be clean and tidy :j:j:j.
Next to do is lunch, gloss 8 shelf brackets, a tip trip and Mr Ts.
Later peeps, Thriftyxxx

Oh I do love you :rotfl:
Luckily it is over for us now until next June.
I shall also have a false start on the decluttering. DD is going to be out of the way on Saturday so I shall bliz her room. At least then Bitsy's kids can get to the toys when they come and visit on Sunday (and I have managed to get rid of lot of stuff that DD wants to keep but won't remember if it disappears)
Sending good wibes to Greenbee.
Well done on the essay Psycho :T
Willow - about dog training - please don't read anything that is about dominance or flooding or stuff like that - IT IS CRUEL AND DOESN'T WORK!!! Plus that libraries are full of dog training books. And you don't need to commit to buying until you have seen if the training methods are something you feel comfortable with. In the meanwhile google Karen Pryor, Turid Rugaas and Anders Hallgren (and stay well away from Cesar Millan )"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I spent hours on Tuesday raising 300 fee invoices that someone else had forgotten before she went on holiday. All my boss had to do was approve them - click on f***ing button by 4pm yesterday. Did she? Did she f***!
Now I have to raise 300 credit notes, and do a bodge journal. And then I have to find someone who's allowed to sign off a journal for nearly £1m!
GROWL!
Along with that and all the other stuff I have to do before draft 1 is run at 4pm! F***!0 -
TMIF - And breath!!! You do what you can do no more no less. Take one task at the time (the most important/urgent), do it and move on. It is just accounts - nobody is going to die."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
