  • I think a Declutter challenge for August and Money Detox for September sound perfect :) will fit in well for everyone I think, children or no children :)

just popping on to share the love for Aldi cosmetics - I can heartily recommend their YSL Touche Eclat-a-like for about £2.50, and their handcream for 75p ish is almost the best I've ever used!! (second only to Virgin Vie but at £7 a tube, that has been ousted!)

musical things are going well here, the dust has settled after Italy and I feel like things are coming together just fine.

A belated comment to dirtyepic who hopefully isn't reading from the ladies at this time of the evening...

I listened to a book programme on Radio 4 a while ago featuring the wonderful Benjamin Zephaniah, and they were talking about the vibrancy of inner city areas compared to their so-called reputations for crime and violence. He had a wonderful way of putting it which has stuck with me:

Nobody ever reports on the news "It's Friday and nothing happened in Brixton"
  • Can't believe I haven't posted today - I'm slipping :p

Well done to Buffy for handing her essay in and to Cheri for finishing her cv.

Having a real thick head today (no alcohol involved, honest) - a head full of cotton wool and no energy. No tadas to report just a lot of plodding. After a good night's sleep, tomorrow normal service will be resumed and I will be bright breezy and full of energy and achievements.

Work all tidied up (I hope!) and out of office on. Lots of tidying and cleaning going on (I may be getting ahead on the declutter challenge :p). My mother helped turn the mattress, and a friend's daughter came over and helped with some dusting and hoovering. All the almost dead veggies have been roasted and eaten with some wild goose casserole. Next door's eldest son mowed the lawn. So it's all looking pretty clean and tidy here, ready for a few days sitting in the garden supervising my mother doing the dead heading and weeding, followed by the bathroom being replaced!

Hospital bag is all packed and plans in place for either driving in myself and my mother driving back or OH taking me in if he gets here for 7am but as he won't get home till around 1am I've told him I don't want him rushing.

I may not be back for a couple of days, so hope all goes well :)

Good Luck Greenbee.... lots of healing vibes!

Sorry I have been SUCH a whining whingebucket on here. Going to go away and give myself a real kick in the bahookie. Hope to be more like myself in the near future.

Hope it all goes well for you Greenbee.

Had a crazy day at work. Im sick of looking at clothes of any sort! Off tomorrow and will be doing some holiday shopping as well as food shopping and planning. I go on hols two weeks on Tuesday. Out last night with the gay best friends parents. They took me for dinner which was lovely. Bit of a bad head today but still managed the gym.

Buffy, ace news on your essay. I loved a wee all nighter when I was at uni, essays got in the way of my social life otherwise!!!

Just popping in to give you support Greenbee - thinking of you and hoping all goes well x

Just about all packed now so off to bed in a minute.

I'll find you all on the new thread. August challenges for me will be to get all the jobs I don't like done in the garden and to find some new things to cook.

Wishing you all a good week.
