I LOVE that songAnd I confess I have a wee crush on Michael Palin. The shame of it

I found a semi-cure for procrastinating over (some!) household activities.
I HATE hanging the washing up, we don't have a garden for it to go in really, so it has to go upstairs, Mr Daffs doesn't like it in the bathroom, or the bedroom, or in fact anywhere other than in his 'workshop' (read: spare room entirely full of tools, wood, crap, and other things that don't live anywhere else) Things go in there and don't come out.
Anyway, every time I did the washing, I'd put it off for hours, sometimes to the point where it would have to go back in the washing machine  I hated thinking about it, I'd get resentful every time that it was me doing it, that I didn't have an outside washing line...
One day I timed it. It took me less than 3 minutes to hang it up :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Haven't ever put it off since
(although I did instigate a rule of 'whoever hangs the washing up chooses where it gets hung'Needless to say, it's only been in the workshop once..

It's taken me all week to find the positive of not being well this week. I think I have found it! Do not take for granted the ability to eat, talk or even yawn! Never have I eaten so slowly! I have also when awake managed to do some Christmas shopping.:jBack to Doctors this morning but think I'll be back at work on Monday, certainly feel quite a bit better. I've just got to tackle some housework as have done less than the minimum.
Hope the weather improves a bit it's a horrible grey start today.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Hugs to all that need them! Robsmum, minimum housework ... I lost the rhythm (sp???) of housework when I moved to my *last* house, which was a long time ago now
and definitely need to get my act together in this place. Still haven't tackled the backlog, tho
life is definitely too short. Or I need to get rich so I can have a cleaner :j

Do you think we should launch the next thread on the 1st of August? New month and new beginnings and all?
I know we love our short challenges on here - so any suggestions?

MG: I think new thread on 1st August is a good idea. How about a challenge around how cheap/free/ frugal we can live for August? You'r good at filling an idea out! Saw someone on another thread/blog who wrote down everything they were given/found for a year and it was amazing.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942
