Hi all, waving back frantically from the cubicle!
Going to say that due to some pretty hard cutting back over the past 9 months I have got my debt down from 3 credit cards to 2, achieved over 42% of it paid off and because I applied the law of a payment a day for a few months I have sneakily managed to knock a month off my debt free date. How happy am I? Almost half way through and absolutely buzzing to get through the other end. Baby steps and all.
Tomorrow I have the worst kind of frog that I have to deal with. I hate giving presentations and standing up in front of a room full of people and tomorrow I have to face it yet again. My job now involves the training of staff and it sickens me to the pit of my tummy. I know some people live the thrill of public speaking I dread it.
So tomorrow from 11am I will be slowly chewing away on this humongous frog for around 3 hours. My frog won't want to even be there and have someone come and tell it what the correct procedures for manual handling are.
So tonight to take my mind away from it I will be takingpart in apilates class!!!!
Have a good night all, procrastinating or not!

I cut some big leafy things down in the garden today, I think they're meant to be bushes but they're more like big green monsters covered in flies....
I also went round with a cloth and white vinegar and water in a spray bottle wiping all the doorframes etc. I should really be looking for more jobs to apply for but I keep saying "I can't do this one, it's too far away" or "I'm not experienced enough" so can anyone help me?Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.0 -
Well done on the debt repayment dirtyepic :T:T:T
Well Tricia - I'm proud to know you . My Mum is 74 and not a patch on you in terms of attitude :T:T:T, you go girl :rotfl:. (Hope that doesn't come over as patronising, it's not meant to).0 -
Willow - try to start seeing the reasons why you could do the jobs. Apply for them anyway, as you need practice with applications and interviews, and you can get feedback if you are unsuccessful. If you don't apply, you definitely won't get the job!
For the first time in recorded history I have got ALL my presentations in on time. Not only that, but the ones due next week are EARLY!
Cheri - linkedin is looking good. Now go and get some recommendations please0 -
:rotfl::rotfl:
Just had the most surreal conversation with DS1 - he wanted to know why Spam is called Spam (computer stuff naturally) after seeing the Spam button on the forums (the tin).
So off to Youtube we went to watch Monty Python - now he is seriously confused and will probably resort to phoning Childline later :rotfl::rotfl:
DS1's likes "I'm a Lumberjack" however - you know I'm beginning to worry about my wee man

Thanks Greenbee. I have asked for a couple of recommendations but the problem is that most of my ex colleagues and bosses are not on linkedin. Waiting for a response from a couple. I dont want to ask my current boss because not wanting to alert her to anything although she is linked to me she thinks that I am using it for networking for my job.
DE - I do training sessions, presentations and public speaking as the main part of my job now and I still get butterflies. The more I do the more I enjoy and I watch loads of other public speakers to try to pick up some tricks. Forget how many are there and think of it as a little chat with one person.
MG - why are you worrying about DS1, he obviously has good taste. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Hello Matrix... just caught up with you all. Got back from our hols today. Feel rather attacked by the back home blues. Going to finish my technology bits and go and get my pyjamas on and shlump on the sofa. Hubby out at a Church Meeting and he won't be home for hours.
Nice to read all the updates. Positive vibes to everyone. I'll try and catch up with everyone later."A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -

What are you frightened of? Getting the job and feeling out of your depth? Or getting rejected for an interview? Have a hug at any rate xxMemory_Girl wrote: »
