All the talk of the Living life more simply plus affluence. Someone started this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/45428034#Comment_45428034

Life was more simple then, in a way. Affluent, I'm not sure but I relate because this was when I was a child 60's to mid 70's. A simple life sounds good, but all the pursuit of money stuff scares me, and I so wonder why people are never happy with what they have these days, everybody always wants more. Financial wise anyway

One thing that did get on my wick a little bit was that my boss wanted me to re-do some of the budget pack I put together for my school. She didn't tell me how to do the changes she wanted me to make, just that i had to make them. So, you know what? I did some research, completed the task and then sent the packs off. I didn't ask, I just got on with it. So there!! I am now working out the best way of working out the accruals for year end.
think of it this way... Maybe your boss either assumed you knew how to make the changes or re bright enough to work it out for yourself. She obviously doesn't feel the need to babysit you.
Plans are to go to Hampshire and then visit the parentals in Wiltshire and then come home. I am looking forward to it. But have the fun of packing to come as well!!
Ooh goody... Are you coming to visit me? I'm back on bed rest and could do with some entertainment. I have cake :D

Well done on being positive with your mother dusty :T

Hi all, well yesterday didn't go that well - partly my own fault for not recognising that I'm not looking out for myself enough in all this and I need to do some serious thinking. Gemmzie's needs have been on the back burner for far too long. Some serious thinking to be done this weekend and some big decisions :(

Evening all! :D Hope you are keeping well. Am just back from seeing the new Harry Potter film, and well worth seeing it was, too.

Alas, t'other side appears to be being naughty and won't let me even get to the login page. Am I alone, or have other people been having similar issues?
