You called:rotfl::rotfl:
Thrifty - think I agree with the ladies - at 16 she is old enough to see the cold stark reality of your current position and your projected "being more affluent date". You OH must be feeling crappy too at her rattling on - we tend to be more pragmatic "no money,sorry" - the men in our lives feel they need to be the providers and DD moaning is throwing that in his face isn't it?
Maybe time to get her on board the "family plan" - with a small treat at then end maybe?
....................... then suggest she gets a summer job?

Last day with my lovely lovely class and I will so miss them next year. Today we are doing a market place selling things we have made for charity - they have worked so hard for it and all chosen thier own charities and are rightly proud of all their efforts - Matrixey entrepreneurial positive vibes for each stall (especially the ones who have had to re-do their entire stock as their first idea went wrong)Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Morning Matrix.
Having a down day today. Not too bad, because I haven't had one in over a week, so the pills are definitely working. Feeling a bit... fragile I suppose. Still, I have a lot of work to get on with, so I am going to put my head down and really go for it. I only really have today to break the back of my to do list, as tomorrow I will be too de-mob happy to do anything really!! (Hey, at least I know my faults!!)
Right, on with the to do list. Laters peeps!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Crickett: Down days are normal. You are doing really well, so hang on in there , just remember to be nice to yourself. Big hugs.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Who ever said earlier "being a parent sucks sometimes" was so right! Spoke to my DS yesterday, where he promptly told me he's been really poorly for a week. He suffers with abcesses and has had one that was the worst ever and ended up at hospital, to be told he was bordering on Sepsis and it was as well he'd gone then. He's ok but off sick until Wednesday and going to the hospital daily to have it dressed.
Now I have gone into worry/panic/protective mode:eek: It's so illogoical, because he's OK and when he was at his worse I didn't even know!:eek: Talk about retrospective mothering.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

morning Matrix,
it has been some time since I last posted, I am back from Italy and trying to make sense of normality while planning some massive changes to my life.
Lots has happened for everyone, but mostly I wanted to send my thoughts to claire, I was so sorry to hear about your dog. My dog's bed, lead and collar are still where he slept and I haven't felt ready to move them yet. The time will come but there is no rush for now
I wanted to pop on briefly to share this link (also posted on my diary but wanted to put it here too as I think it's relevant). It's about a young man with terminal cancer who packed a whole life into the time he had left, absolutely inspirational.

It has left me literally lost for words which doesn't happen very often.
If I knew I had three years to live, I definitely wouldn't be living as I am now. Thing is, I don't know how long I will be on this planet for, so I had better get on and create the life I am dreaming of, rather than just thinking about it :rotfl:0 -
Perfectly understandable robsmum! Give yourself a little time to panic (although perhaps not in front of your son
)
Glad he's doing alright now xx
(((((((crickett))))))) down days are ok, and at least you know you won't be doing much tomorrow so can get things done today! :T
Fingers crossed for your lovely class dorastar! :T :T
