You know how we work here - budgets so tight their eyes cross.:rotfl:

Still £35 quid down a week when I spend less than £20 PW on food is a killer.

So, dust myself down, pick myself up ................. and go and find some ways to increase my income.

Definitely go for the batch-cooking and freezing - as FW & Cheri have said, this is important from a productivity/organisation point of view.

I'm looking for images for a presentation... so if anyone on here has any pictures of cakes that they are willing to licence to me under creative commons (because I have no money) can you PM me? Corporate images are SO boring!

Could I also please asks for some positive vibes... my consultant called me this morning and has transferred me to the NHS (no more free coffee...). I have to go to the clinic on Monday, have scans and tests during the week and am back in on Friday for another hysteroscopy. All a bit scary as it is happening so fast.

Need to spend today sorting out work, getting meetings cancelled etc...

utility bills.. I'm on one of the tariffs where you submit monthly meter readings (which I must do now). That way I know I pay for what I've used each month. Very cheap at the moment, not so cheap in winter so not ideal for budgeting, but it gives me more control. I also have an electricity monitor, and am thinking about doing rent-a-roof solar panels as I work from home and can use lots of free electricity during the day...

Keeping everything crossed for you GB - have you read anything by this lady, I have one of hers about women's health and I know you'd like it xx

Just doing a few of those 5 minutes jobs which never get done, almost time for a cuppa.

    .

I don't have any pics of cakes - but I sure could eat one...

Had the worse week in recent history.

I came back to work and got the blame for at least 5 things that happened while I was off. Got hauled over the coals for a mistake my assistant made.

Now I have awesome back ache (kidney related) and it hurts to pee again.

Back to the docs on Monday I suppose.

I am fed up, and I want to curl up in a ball and cry

TMIF - I juice cranberries and drink the diluted juice with no sugar. My nutritionist also recommends potassium citrate (liquid not granules, think its called cymalon). No substitute for the docs, but might keep you going until you get back there.

My boss was really nice to me... but it looks as if he's just expecting OH to pick up all my work instead. Which is not on at all. OH is supposed to be waiting on me hand and foot and peeling grapes.

I've been drinking a carton of that Ocean Spray Cranberry juice each day for 2 weeks now - so goodness knows how much worse it would have been otherwise!

I've heard of Cylamon, I will pop into Boots on the way home and see if they have it.

Can I take it with codiene based painkillers (wot doc gived me for meye agoneez like)?

Sometimes bosses are lovely - what's with this giving all to the BF though - i don't approve of that :D

If you can buy fresh/frozen cranberries and juice them, its better as they have nothing else with them (not pleasant to drink, but no sugar or apple juice).

ask the pharmacist about the painkillers...

and how can my boss tell OH to look after me and then tell him he'll have to pick up all the work? I've told him to point out that he'll be reducing his out of hours working significantly if he has to look after me.
