*is a little bit scared of Cheery's stern glare* :rotfl:
I know I'm being stupid.. it's the fear of the unknown/ fear of rejection..Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Well send the form to me - I'm nice and friendly and won't reject you - and I'll stick it in the post0

Could I have a vote please? I have a vintage, single eiderdown on EBay, has 6 days to go, 29 watchers and has reached £10.50 and have been offered a buy it now for £40. Do I sit it out or do I accept? I am torn between I am selling it to donate the proceeds to Ahlziemers society.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Robsmum, I'm astonished at the price they go for!
I've seen them going for £60-£80
so I think with 6 days to go you don't need to go with this buyer0 -
robsmum, have you investigated how much they go for? With that many watchers and bids already in I would wait."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Thank you OO and Maurra - that was my inital reaction, so in the spirit of The Matrix I'm going to follow my instinct and wait it out.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

I need to rush to work to do Year End. My boss has just phoned to ask if I can do stuff in bed. Blimming cheek! I am poorly. I guess I'll have to do it though, because no one else can.
Day 5 - 4 a day. No better. Still painful. Still peeing every 10 minutes. Even at night! Tired. Fed up. Bah.
Grrrr!
Hope everyone else is having a better week than me! Crickett, when you've got ten minutes, can you do my year end too please!!!0 -
Cheery_Daff wrote: »Good grief TMIF!  I am shocked on your behalf! How DARE your boss ring and ask if you can do stuff in bed!
What would happen if you said no? Perhaps then they'd realise they needed some kind of contingency plan and not to have the entire business rely on one person being available at a moment's notice, regardless of what was going on.
Gosh that makes me cross on your behalf!
(I hope when you've done it you'll have a conversation with them and tell them they need a contingency because that is just NOT APPROPRIATE!) - also what happens re insurance when you're in work but also signed off sick?!
Grrrr
(just popped in to say I've tackled the giant pesky dragon I've been squabbling with since Thursday :T :T but now all cross rather than celebratory :rotfl:)
Well done on conquering your pesky Dragon. And I echo what Cheery said TMIF. Mind I am not suprised. I once got phoned by HR when I was off sick asking me when I was going to be going back in the office. I was heavily pregnant with the most awful cold and could only take paracetamol which wasn't working much. Was fuming - they are taking liberties TMIF. I've had kidney infection and it was AGONY, ended up having second lot of antibiotics as the first lot didn't work. If no improvement by tomorrow get yourself back to Dr's xx15 minute bursts for me too.
I didn't list anything on e-bay, even though it was free listing, even though I'd charged up Dad's camera which I'd especially borrowed
I hate it that I lack the motivation to do the simplest of things. (though I do hate e-baying) But why did I clean out my kitchen cupboards this weekend instead of clearing the loft?
Because doing the cupboards were more interesting......lesser of two evilsI never listed anything on ebay, even though we have stuff to shift
Just couldn't be bothered

K4K update (oh how nice to have this speedy internet connection
)
Dummy Invoice for the 38 pairs of worn shoes raised (total £19) on which there may be import duty and VAT to be paid.
Import duty quotes have varied between 20%-40%
VAT in SA = 14%
So from the original quote of hundreds of pounds in duty due it should now be £6.50-£10.50 :T
So it's only taken 7 monthsAnd it's not out the door yet.......

Goodness me Olive! £10.50?? Really?! 7 months for £10.50?! I can't believe it!
Fingers crossed it happens soon - you must be thoroughly sick of the entire thing!0
