Sounds like you have all had a real mix-it-up Monday.

BTW I would have stayed at home and done the year end later - if it was vital enough it was done then it's vital enough to get someone else in to do it. Certainly wouldn't be sitting doing journals etc with a kidney infection.

Had a fantabulous day out with my boys - DS2 was so happy have his first trip on a train ............... and if you had seen his face when his Granny got on a few stops down the line. All his Christmases at once:D

He then got treated to a journey in a taxi to Dynamic Earth (all £3 of it ) I think he then regarded himself as Royalty.

They were both wonderfully behaved all the way around - even though there are bits that could be a bit scarey for a three year old -erm, Explosions, dark corridors, earth quakes, volcanoes, dinosaurs, floating brains, crashing waves and 3D shuttle journeys - What was I thinking :eek: But although his hand was never far from mine he really enjoyed it.

Packed lunch (and coffee :D) an a visit to the Astronaut 3D show and a NASA exhibit then back to the station, where we bought 2 McFlurries to share on the way home.

DS2 has been chatter, chatter, chatter the whole day - so felt sure we would have a teatime melt-down:o But DS1 brought him n and helped out of shoes and coat and sat down to work with the new play-dough as I made dinner - two wee heads together at the toddler table (poor DS1 his knees are almost at his ears on the tiny chairs)

Now both are sitting a the table eating pasta and talking about their day ............... DS1 is going to love his "Adventure Days" I can just tell.

New thread will be coming up shortly, so new name suggestions needed methinks, and mine is The Matrix -Evolution (not Revolution) simply after reading tahe other side, its evolving and growing into something that will be a poweful force for women, and men iff they choose to join lol.

Did you not name this one too???

Evolution sound fine to me - any other suggestions just chip them in.

Off to do the washing up and then do the jammie run with DS2 who is sitting happily next to me "mind-mapping" his day.

Its a load of squiggles in coloured crayon TBH - but surprisingly it does look remarkably like a Mind Map.

Still awaiting the melt-down - can't believe he has been so happy the whole day with out any quite time, so I will sneaky and prepare his room and fold down his bed and get his favourite toy out just in case.

  • Hello folks,

I did the marking this morning, didn't even take that long. Had a rotten day though, mainly jumping to conclusions and being hungry. Came home and had a 2 hour nap. don't feel much better.

Any how I am going to feel better after dinner. I mainly came on here to say I have started collecting my research for the Masters. I am quite excited by it all.

Hope everyone had a good day, sorry I haven't read back, v bad headache

    xxxx

    Good evening.

Been shopping with mum today, got a bit of a headache as well. Never mind lie in tomorrow as I don't have to get up early as ds2 is still in France.

(((buffy))))) not surprised you feel rough! early night for you young lady!

MG, what a fab day your boys have had! :T (and you and granny too by the sounds of it! :D)

Mixed days elsewhere it appears... xxx

Dashing in and out again here, just got in from work and off to slimming world (eek - think light thoughts :rotfl:) Feel rather behind at work after a rough/slacker Thursday/Friday :o but I will catch up - just not right now :p Hospital in the morning so a few cheery matrix vibes wouldn't go amiss if there's any going spare :o Going to get blood test results and see consultant - if thyroid is behaving again they'll refer me to the surgeon to have it taken out.
